Katherine Heigl — who publicly complained about Knocked Up, the movie that made her a star — will not be repeating her Emmy win from last year because she pulled her name from consideration. Why would she do that, you ask? Because she's an idiot. And she's an even bigger idiot for giving a reason that alienates the Grey's Anatomy writers.
I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.
While she does have a point, surely there was a much better way to go about this. Like — going out on a limb here — she could have just kept her mouth shut?

Sometimes I want to spray her face with raid, but then I ground myself and realize that, that would be psychotic.
I have tried, really hard, through all of the videos of her being a bitch to fans and the snubs to those things which have made her famous to continue to like her because I really liked Knocked Up (never watched Grey's); but seriously…what a self-righteous bitch.
P.S. I hope the writers make her get some disfiguring skin disease next season just to pay her back.

I tried really hard to continue liking her as well, I was a huge Roswell fan. But after this shit… dude, don't bite the hand that feeds. And her movies are fluffy chick flicks, while enjoyable, they're a dime a dozena and don't exactly give her the right to talk the smack. I don't hear Patrick Dempsey bitching about his story lines…

it's easy to dislike this woman. and she does come across the way everyone's been saying. but isn't she kind of right, though? her character this season was a total wimp, and it seems like she's only being nominated because she's more famous now–there have been previous seasons that would've made way more sense for a nomination.
as far as "don't bite the hand that feeds," if i have an opinion about something that i think is wrong at my work, i'm definitely not going to "keep my mouth shut" about it just because they pay me. and i don't think that her never expressing an opinion ever again would make her any less annoying. i get how her statement is self-rightous and all, but most actors do shit like that. i think that being a silent little kiss-ass is worse.
I bet she is going to get some really GREAT story lines next year.
