Great. Another study which confirms stupid, outdated, and socially conditioned stereotypes, in order to make broad generalizations about "women" and "men".

    1) Men are predisposed to sleep with anything above a "minimal condition threshold"
    2) Women naturally seek stability and security and so are attracted to education and money rather than looks.

How original. I'm sure the methodology was flawless. Blow me, Gunter.

Personality counts for a lot. My first husband probably would have been good-looking, but he was 240 pounds. What drew me to him at the time was that he was close with his family, was loyal to me and his friends, and was just a generally nice guy.

I decided to leave him after 3 years of marriage because we wanted different things out of life (namely children), and I just didn't feel the spark anymore. I left him despite the fact that we were financially stable.

These stereotypes are bullshit…although I'm not completely ruling out the majority of women being shallow bitches. However, if that's really the case, I place the blame for their being shallow on the despicable culture in which they were raised. A culture nurtured by patriarchal religions, I might add.

My husband was a poor student and he is younger than me but he was really hot so I forgave the other two things. Luckily it worked out well.

I think being nurtured by "patriarchal religions" is not *as* relevant any longer. If anything religions is being attacked and criticized more and more. Maybe the shallowness comes from the fact we are inundated with overly sexual 'fantasy' type women that we then become convinced we need to be. That and there's always been a dichotomy when it comes to what men want in a women. They want someone who's all cherry pie in public but an animal in the bedroom and that's just not realistic.

The article does not prove that either of the sexes are genetically predisposed to the aforementioned characteristics. These goals have been socially constructed. That's like saying women are genetically predisposed to wearing high heels because it has been found that many women wear high heels…

And studies and statistics can be manipulated to read however you want them to.

I've done a study that shows that 53% of Mollygood readers think that Cord is hot, but pretentious.

Hey, well, he told us he would always be honest. It's not being pretentious saying you are not as vacuous as Cameron Diaz et al., it's just stating the obvious. But remember when he would thank readers and apologize (that headline on your shoulders incident… LORDIE!).
I've done a study that shows that the 47% of Mollygood readers that don't think Cord is hot have not seen his picture and are too simple to enjoy PBS.
Anyhow, I was just supposed to be a troll on this site, but I'm too enraptured now.
