And an Embarrassment in the Public Eye

ti

Does anyone else find it eternally frustrating that large gatherings of black entertainers are so often marred by violence? Here's information from the New York Daily News on the latest black on black crime:

According to a witness, a fight broke out between rapper T.I. and Ludacris' manager, Chaka Zulu, around 2 p.m.

"First it was two guys, then it was six guys, then it was 10 guys," said the source, describing how the fight escalated.

"Plates were being smashed, the hotel lost a palm tree. The place got trashed," said the witness.

"T.I. was like a dog in a meathouse. Chaka's shirt got all torn up. As people spilled outside, [onlookers] were asking, 'Who got shot?'"

Likening blacks to animals is not only vestigial, it's also deplorable; unless, of course, one is given reason to.

Sad, isn't it? It's as though some of these folks have lost sight of the fact that the image they portray in their videos is supposed to be a facade, not a way of life.

-when is anyone ever given reason to do so?

    you,
When one witnesses a black person so bloodthirsty they say it's like watching "a dog in a meathouse."
    Best,

yes i see that. however, the sentence started off well with the admission that to liken minorities- especially black people who have had such a history in this country- to animals is obviously a bad idea…but then the sentence goes in a different direction and contradicts itself…for what purpose I have no idea. It just seems off to me.

It would have been fine to say like a dog in a meathouse and then leave it alone…but when that sentence was added it just seemed to take it somewhere else entirely.

    …and thats my essay lol.

Like Tupac says, "Live by the gun, die by the gun". There's something about seeing these dogs in heat that really makes me horny! Especially with that TI (or is it TIP).

Not to mention all of the horrible violence that happened in Milwaukee and Texas while celebrating Juneteenth…

I think it's pretty sad that one of the first thing that onlookers would state is, "who got shot?" It's sad that that's an expectation.

if a lot of these people lived a certain lifestyle before coming into money, you cannot expect them to abandon thier way of thinking, acting, behaving simply because of money. money does nothing but give you opportunity to better yourself; it is up to the individual to take advantage of it. if they acted like this before the money, why would anyone be surprised that they suddenly become civil?

I refrained from stating the very same thing.

Why would you name your kid after such a tyrant?

I really thought that the writer for Mollygood was funny though not anymore after seeing this article. Now I see him as just another dime a dozen racist. I will no longer visit this web site again and I am reporting the racist comments to an appropriate agency.

Hate is so common and destructive. I visited the "likening blacks to animals" link and found very disturbing Aryan supremacist material which promotes hatred against people who are not white. You have a good thing going here with plenty of readers, why did you have to ruin it with racism?

some people who are truely not racist poke fun at racism in a facetious way.

example, when i would walk in a room in high school a friend of mine would say "i smell potatos" and id say "how can you smell anything over the stink of gefelte fish, horseradish and motza in thsi room." we thought we were hilarious.

i think thats whats going on on this site often. i dont think cord is racist - his comments are often anti-racist but through sarcasm in that, "im so not racist i can say this becuase i mean it as a dig at racists"

i often agree with that attitude but you need the right crowd. clearly some people dont get htat.

my question is, what are the appropriate agencies?
