My sister's husband was on a job site and had to commute about 70 miles…when he got home, he heard a meowing coming from under the hood of his truck… there was a little kitten that had sat by the wheel well for 70 miles at speeds up to 80MPH! He loves to snuggle and my grandparents adopted him and named him Willy.

I don't know what would be worse… Being an orphan or being named "Willy"? Imagine being an orphan named Willy!

It's annoying that people like these feel-good cat-rescued-from-a-pipe stories… but so few are vegetarians. It's also sad that the cat was not smoking a pipe.

What? Vegetarians? Cats? I'm pretty sure that those who think this was a cute story weren't eating a cat chop while they were reading this.

I like to eat cat chops while watching Tom Cruise "fence" with other men. I guess he's moved on from his wrestling fantasy. His only rule is that he as to oil the men up before the match. Moisturization is no joke people.

Thanks Whitney, LOVED the cute kitty!! BTW, I am a vegetarian, but am not following the logic of how that relates to me liking the video. I eat lots of chocolate, but don't pick my dessert out of the litterbox or toilet….however my fiance's chocolate labs are starting to look a little tempting…..jk!!! >^..^<

I'm sick of hearing people talk about how sad it is their friend's cat had their tail stepped on while eating a fucking steak. Why is it not sad that a cow got his neck slit? Oh, yeah, because now it gives YOU pleasure.
If you were "touched" by that video, you better be a herbivore.
That cat brings out the pussy in all of you.

steak is good. don't bitch at me for eating cows and i won't bitch at you for grazing like a cow. people are born with canine teeth for a reason; that reason is not so we can chew veggies more efficently.

    Deimos, that is a myth.
"Meat-eaters: have sharp front teeth for tearing, with no flat molar teeth for grinding
Herbivores: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding
Humans: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding"

And here is a lot more evidence we were not physically constructed to eat meat:
    Meat-eaters: have claws
    Herbivores: no claws
    Humans: no claws

Meat-eaters: have no skin pores and perspire through the tongue
    Herbivores: perspire through skin pores
    Humans: perspire through skin pores

Meat-eaters: have intestinal tract that is only 3 times their body length so that rapidly decaying meat can pass through quickly
Herbivores: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.
Humans: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.

Meat-eaters: have strong hydrochloric acid in stomach to digest meat
Herbivores: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater
Humans: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater

Meat-eaters: salivary glands in mouth not needed to pre-digest grains and fruits.
Herbivores: well-developed salivary glands which are necessary to pre-digest grains and fruits
Humans: well-developed salivary glands, which are necessary to pre-digest, grains and fruits

Meat-eaters: have acid saliva with no enzyme ptyalin to pre-digest grains
Herbivores: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains
Humans: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains

Based on a chart by A.D. Andrews, Fit Food for Men, (Chicago: American Hygiene Society, 1970)"

whatever though, it's not worth fighting over. if you don't like eating meat that's your choice but it's not right to look down on people who choose to do something differently than you. it doesn't affect you if i enjoy a steak nor is it anybody's business but my own if i eat meat. the problem with people today is we try to police how other people behave right down to what they eat. you eat your salads and i'll eat my steaks and we'll all be happy. you're not free if people tell you what you can and can't do all of the time.

Ilnazhad- get yoir facts right. Your post sounded like something straight out of "convenient theories for you". Our intestinal tract is not 10-12x our body length, its about 5x. We have incisors, which are used for meat. Herbavore teeth are round and flat, like hippo teeth. Our front teeth are used for slicing. Stomach acidity varies on species, too. And our saliva is only used to weakly digest our food. What you are talking about is similar to cows with cuds. They have to chew and chew bc I breaks what they eat down. We masticate and swallow, not wait with our food in our mouths until the point of cellular breakdown. Get educated before you start spouting off BS

    autumn-
    1. "The human intestine is ten times longer than the length of the body,… It's minimum length is 507, its maximum length 1194 centimeters (17 to 35 feet);…" -Landois, Leonard, & William Stirling. Textbook of Human Physiology. P. Blakiston, 1889.
    2. Humans have "pathetically small "canine" teeth (they're canine in name only). In contrast, carnivores all have sharp claws and large canine teeth capable of tearing flesh. The jaws of carnivores move only up and down, requiring them to tear chunks of flesh from their prey and swallow it whole. Humans and other herbivores can move their jaws up and down and from side to side, a movement that allows them to grind up fruit and vegetables with their back teeth. Human back molars are flat and allow the grinding of fibrous plant foods. Carnivores lack these flat molars."

Anyhow, none of this matters. If we do not live in the wild and we are capable of living without eating meat, I think becoming a vegetarian is the right thing to do.
