Matthew Fox took huge steps towards alienating his friends and family by publicly stating that he considers himself a "liar" and a "cheat." He also noted that, when "boozing," he likes to goad other drunk people into doing things they wouldn't were they sober, presumably for his amusement. Here's more:
"I'm a liar and a cheat and a thief and the ultimate manipulator. … I tell lies every day, man," the 40-year-old actor says in the February issue of Men's Journal magazine. "And when I say I'm phenomenally manipulative, I am."
Fox, who is now starring opposite Matthew McConaughey in "We Are Marshall," a Warner Bros. Pictures release, says he "can be unapologetically vicious" and is "absolutely an instigator."
"I really enjoy social boozing, and what I enjoy about it is when people I know and care about say and do things they normally wouldn't say or do," he tells the magazine. "To make that happen I'll instigate anything."
Y'know, this is so weird that it's actually refreshing–like Clamato. Rarely do you get this kind of honesty from anyone, let alone someone from a TV show. He's speaking with the arrogance of a man confident in the meekness of others. The dude's like, "Yeah, I'm a mean drunk and a profoundly hurtful liar, but you're still gonna watch my super-popular, mystical show." Then he shoves you and kisses your girlfriend. Then you still watch Lost. The Kennedys popularized this particular brand of bullshit, but they were never as straightforward. And, considering the fact that Lost lost big to Grey's Anatomy last night at the Golden Globes, we probably shouldn't expect Matthew Fox to get any happier. Cheers to you, Fox!

You know this is like a girl playing hard to get, if she admits it's a game, then it no longer works. Now I can't imagine that any of the people that he "cares about" are going to want to spend much time with him.
On the otherhand, it might jut be a big lie for publicity. I mean, I've seen a few episodes of Lost but I certainly didn't know this guy's name before this. I guess this is the male equivalent of flashing your vajayjay. Now I know about Matthew Fox.
I'd let him lie to me, lie on me, pull my hair and spank me from the back.
I think this is publicity though. I mean isn't he one of the only people on the cast of Lost that hasn't been arrested, or recieved a ticket yet? He's no bad boy, he's no liar, or a cheat. Have you seen his wife? She looks like she'd squash his nuts if he ever got out of line.
well shit. he sucks! i used to love matthew fox, but now he's just an egotistical bastard! dammit. why did he have to go and open his mouth???? i still love lost though.
Incidentally, a few days after Christmas I was walking next to the Foxes (Matthew, wife and son) in Hawaii at the Sea Life Park, our kids jumped in the moon bounce together (swoon!) and let me tell you, he had NO attitude, NO entourage, and was nothing but sweet and genuine. HE is hotter in person! WAY hotter. And he totally dotes on his wife, holding hands, putting his arm around her, little kiss here and there. I was drooling on myself! He was polite and nice to bystanders (amazingly nobody actually bothered him for an autograph - I was gonna but chickened out….) and adorable with his son. He waited in line for ice cream like everyone else, got no special treatment, stood in the back row during the dolphin show, etc. He could not have been more normal or regular, and Bystander made a good point: he hasnt been arrested or cheated on his wife or done anything mean to anyone. He is fantastic. SO what he likes to party? Maybe it's good for nice guys like him to have a little edge here and there!!!! LOVE HIM I SAY, LOVE HIM AS I DO!!!

I think it was a joke comment… not serious. I am glad LOST didn't win because to tell you the truth I am pissed at them right now….
They spend more time off then on….with that type of exciting plot they had better move it, and keep it going or they will lose viewer interest…I might not watch now it has been so long i have forgotten what happend.
I was concerned that the quality this blog would nose-dive after Molly left, then came the Clamato comment. You're aight kid, but I still miss Molly's brand of snark.
YAWN . . Methinks he does insist too much. Needs the attention because Lost sucks maybe?
What I want to know is why was he hyped as Tom Cruise's first cousin (their mother's are sisters) when Lost first started and now that Tom has been labeled a raging maniac, nobody mentions it anymore? hmmmm..
REALLY?! Matthew Fox and Tom Cruise ARE first cousins?! Small world–I did notknow this before…I give credit to Matthew, thus far, he has SUCCESSFULLY remained married to WIFE #1. I guess I KINDA see a cousin type of resemblance?!
