Bad Ideas

Because Hollywood is full of pigs who are sentimental only for the money they’ve yet to accumulate, everyone’s favorite slightly scary puppet show, Fraggle Rock, is being adapted for the big screen. The plot will focus on central Fraggles Gobo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red as they venture outside of Fraggle Rock and interact with humans, who they think are aliens. This has the potential to be a bigger disaster than Muppets from Space.

This will do well in the box office, proving many do care for the plot. It???s pretty clear from the state of things that everyone gives a shit. Why isn’t it worth making, then, Cord? It would be a futile attempt to make something with substance.

FR was a seriously complex show - it had a “message” but wasn’t preachy. I hope they don’t dumb it down. Man, I loved Trash Heap and the Doozers.

I remember they used to try to steal radishes from the old man’s garden. Or something. I don’t remember the comlexity.

They were always going on trips and learning crap about how people were different. And the environment I think. No?

Sorry, never liked the show. To me it was always a lessor version of the Muppet’s.

It probably was complex in a way I didn’t understand at the time; I’m not countering you, Lisa. Just remembering the radishes…

Ha, that sounds like, “remember the wildflowers” or whatever that cheesy poem is.

I think I just my kids and I watched Muppets in Space the other day… does the plot involve Muppets and Gonzo thinking he is an alien? Ironically I think I saw Tom Cruise’s Katie in the movie (during her Dawnson days).

On a side note XM Kids plays the Fraggle Rock theme song once in awhile. Man is that a song that just won’t leave your head after you hear it.
Cast your cares away, worries for another day.. down in Fraggle Rock.

Ad2Ad: it’s cool, counter me all you want - I could be totally wrong and just remembering it being more deep than it was. (That is why i said, “no?”) You know, like how Rainbow Bright was all anti-depression crusader. No? Anyhow, radishes and doozer buildings. YOU BASTARDS!

PS - Payter, it’s “Dance your cares away, Worry’s for another day.”

Yeah, I looked it up! What about it! I like to prove people wrong, OKKKK?????

I like Muppets in Space. It was a lot of fun. Sure it’s not a Muppet Christmas Carol or Treasure Island, but it was a good time. Fraggle Rock could be a good time. Hopefully.

It’s too bad that you only think of studios and producers as “pigs.” There is nothing piggish about creating movies like Fraggle Rock. Nobody is out to ruin your childhood memories… This is a chance to make a beloved show into a really cool kids’ movie. Why is that a bad thing? I promise I’ll do my best to make it really entertaining.
