Hey, PETA, if you really want this "I'd rather go naked…" campaign to have teeth at all, you have to stop hiring Playboy models to do the ads. It's pretty obvious that those ladies would rather go naked than do lots of stuff, including see a therapist or think introspectively, so having them strip down against fur is one of the least potent acts of protest being used today. Then again, PETA's never really been about effective acts of protest, huh?

Get Mandy Moore or Ruth Bader Ginsburg in front of your cameras and then you'll have something.

Ah peta "where we only treat women like meat"

They’ve never actually been about animal rights considering their tactics consist of "lookie naked women" (celebrity or otherwise).

Not to mention the convenience and hypocrisy of their campaigns. I'd like to see them go after a biker gang for wearing leather for once as opposed to attacking decrepit old ladies at the opera.

Ah well, at least they've stopped putting black people into cages or equating chicken farms The Holocaust.

THANK YOU for saying this, Cord - that's EXACTLY what I thought when I first saw this ad on the internet. She regularly strips down to nothing for an 80 year old man… how much conviction could it possibly take for her to strip for animal rights?

I've never thought PETA had any valid points or redeeming stance since they started employing shock tactics just for publicity.

Which is sad, really. I would think there's so much more they could do for (and so many more people they could actually inform about) animal rights if that's really what they were all about.

Do know what really gets me about PETA, I bet over 80% of their members would abort a baby without a second thought. But God forbid the rest of us for wearing leather, fur or eating KFC!

Whoa Robin, slow down. There are plenty of other ways to highlight the hypocrisy of PETA. I suggest you re-think the hyperbole of "80% of their members" would have an abortion; furthermore your use of the word "baby" is questionable especially in the first trimester, when most abortions are performed.

I just love a post that brings playboy and Supreme Court Justices together. All is right with the world.

I'm still laughing, Ruth Bader Ginsburg-HA! (it's been a bad morning)

Euthanizing dogs and cats and dumping them in a trash can? Disgusting. The idea behing PETA–ethical treatment for animals and all–is great. Too bad they can't get their heads out of their collective asses and spread the message correctly.

Sorry, the Ruth Bader Ginsburg comment kills me.

cizz, maybe she was just pretending to not hurt the Hef's feelings on camera? or maybe she's just a hypocrite.

Life is life maria whether developing fetus..or developing baby. ;) I like Robin's comment and I'm not even prolife-many put animal's lifes on pedestals yet abortion is just dandy. In PA, there was a plan to abort or destroy canadian goose eggs due to overpopulation since they decided Canada wasn't good enough, and peta and organizations alike were so against it. It's an abortion. Hohum. I think the analogy given was perfect. -shrug-

    Umm no tor,
Ethical treatment of animals and human rights issues are not one in the same. The comment was a faulty generalization, or a false analogy. Again there are ways to point out the hypocrisies of PETA, abortion not being one of them…try starting with Vegan diets and move your way up to Cancer and AIDS research using animals.

I highly doubt that anyone who has an abortion thinks that it's "just dandy," tor. What an inane comment.

Meg, I can't help but love that show. But that's an AWFUL pic of Holly.

SHe is from oregon and alaska and apparently grew up in a house of hunters cause she talks about it all the time on the show. They don't care who the model is just that people know them and would like to be like them.

PETA is a joke yet their propaganda never fails to amuse me. I can't say I don't appreciate the lovely, nude women, however I never think much of 'saving animals' whilst watching them. PETA, at best, is good at objectifying these women more, or rather they to themselves. Geez, I sound like a feminist…speaking of which…hehe…

Ah, one unspecific comment about abortion and the prochoice feminists have a heart attack because the comment failed to cover the dimensions of gratuitous gray areas. We are intelligent animals and no matter what situation you present politically or ethically, they are essentially related in one way. It is inane in itself to assume s/he doesn't have more reasoning behind it. She clearly was being sarcastic.

Ho-lly ,sets women back 300 years. It would not matter what she appears in …If she is that serious about the marriage with old crusty she should ask on the show, "hey crusty ,when are you getting a divorce from the hooker that were married to?" now that is reality tv!!!
