If we had our way, The View would be an hour of hot topics only involving politics, because the arguments that ensue are the only reason to watch. This morning, Elisabeth became angry that nobody was letting her finish her inane sentences and we were thisclose to having another on-set blowup like the one she had with Rosie last year. Unfortunately, it's hard to stay mad at Whoopi, so crisis averted.

elisabeth hasselback is a fox news/GOP talking point parrot.

she rarely knows what the hell she's talking about.

she also makes me want to poke out my own eyes.

EH can never argue her point properly. I think she's just on that show to make all conservatives look like idiots.

Oh, if only she would follow up on her empty promise to "not finish any sentence today." You know Sherri Shephard was just keeping that yapper shut so she could look intelligent and knowledgeable.

LOL Lale - on the Sherri comment….I feel bad for Hasselbeck because she reminds me of a little girl sitting at the table with the big wolves (and i don't mean "wolves" in a bad way) She is so….what's the word Americans use : bushy-eyed? or something like that. I mean. I think, she should really go home and startd doing research for herself and that way she can make her points, and also, maybe she will learn something other than what the TV teaches her….

    i think you mean doe-eyed. :)

and yes, she does make all conservatives look like idiots, which is too bad because there are non-idiotic conservatives who can argue a point without solely relying on what fox and friends said that morning.

Elisabeth drives me nuts because she immediately becomes like a spoiled child whenever politics are discussed. She cannot hear anyone else's viewpoint before becoming inane and condescending. Makes me so frustrated because that is what is wrong with our society: we do not listen to each other.

How does one date someone old enough to be their own father? These spammers really need to stop out-sourcing to India.

She is a clear case of a spoiled bitch who never really had to get her hands dirty and work to support herself - so she sides with the GOP b/c she has NO MIND OF HER OWN and is probably only republican because her parents are and her husband is. She is a pretty puppet - just like the GOP like - women with NO MINDS to follow their orders…..

Bright eyed and bushy tailed. Though I'm guessing there's nothing bushy about her. And I'd love to see Henry Gay hook Liz up with a black guy. Someone needs to knock some sense into her pampered white ass.

I really like Elisabeth, I think she could possibly make some valid points if she was given a chance to speak. It must be hard to be the only woman on the view that is not liberal. She was not a spoiled bitch growing up either, she was a normal girl and she married her husband before he was a famous footballer. She made her career debut on Survivor Australia and is one of the best survivors ever. I might be biased.

i think she can't argue her points because their not her points and are therefore not well-thought out. they are neither original thoughts nor other people's thoughts that she has thought about carefully. she's a parrot.

i just said "thought" way too many times.

    thought.

There is no discussion of issues on that show. It's just people talking loudly over one another. Elizabeth is the stupid one, but I feel sorry for her at times because Joy loves to slam her. Sherri is just plain stupid and I honestly don't know why she was hired other than for Elizabeth to have another "Jesus play pal". Joy should be shot in the face. She makes everything a feminist issue and tries to intimidate people, less they get called some stupid name by her that will win the applause of the audience. Thank goodness that Whoopi is on that show. She's the only one with a brain on that show.

I normally can't stand EH and her snooty conservative attitude, but I have to give this one to her. She got cut off right and left. I'm about FAIR and BALANCED. Change the name from "The View" to "One View".

Let Elizabeth have her say. You don't have to agree with it, but at least let her talk.

The View is a terribly unbalanced and obnoxious show. Matter of fact, I hate shows that feature celebs talking (or whining) about their political views. After you pass a certain point of income I don't think you any longer relate to the common man, anyway.

In my opinion only, Elisabeth parrots GOP talking points and does absolutely no personal research. If she agreed with those talking points and could defend some of them or even had input into the writing of those talking points I would find her less easy to dismiss.

She never speaks about having a discussion with her husband or parents or best friend about currect events — I think that is telling.

Remember when EH appeared on the Rachel Ray Show and made it clear she is proud that no one has changed her opinion. She is as dense as GWB. She is not interested in discussion, debate and growth she is intent on getting out as many talking points as she can.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the fact that Elisabeth brought up the subject herself about the "n" word. She is a down and out Republican, in love with Bush and now McCain and I think she purposely brought up this subject because of Obama who is black making more people pay attention to this subject. There are still a lot of prejudice people out there, looking for reasons to not vote Democratic and people like EH are generally prejudice. There is no doubt in MY mind that this is exactly what happened. She loves FOX, Sean Hannity especially and she will do anything to discount Obama.
