Remember when everyone was saying that Oprah's vocal support of Barack Obama alienated her fan base and caused her ratings to dip? Yeah, there's a lot of reasons that's a wrong opinion for people to have, but, even if it is true, Oprah apparently just don't give a fuck:
[Obama] was named the Democrat party's candidate for the presidency on Tuesday (03Jun08).
And Winfrey couldn't be happier the 46-year-old is one step closer to the White House.
In a statement, she says, "I'm euphoric, I've been doing the happy dance all day.
"I'm so proud of Barack and Michelle (Obama's wife) and what this means for all of us… the new possibilities for our country. And if he wants me to, I'm ready to go door to door."

Okay. I'm waiting for her knock with my Mc Cain mask on..
Oh believe me she would not be afraid.
There was a time when Jerry Springer was beating her in ratings too. I think she knows that she has got a strong enough fan base that it doesn't matter (ratings go up and down).
Sorry O, you're not getting the v-p nom.
when she says "what this means for all of us…" is she refering to what this means for black people? only reaffirming that the only reason she is supporting this guy is because of his race. Oprah has never had any political interest before Obama came along. Coinsidence?
@ Kate maybe she referring to "all of us" as people of the United States. She is not just a black person but American also. Meaning its a new step for The United states. How do u know she never had political interest before just because she never spoke about dosent mean she never had any interest
God Bless the "O"!!!
Peace and success to the USA!!!

She means all of us Kate. I don't know about you, but I am just old enough to remember segregation in the deep south as a child growing up in Georgia, and this also means a lot to me. Where we were then and how far we have come since that time, thank God.
But if he hadn't been a great candidate, irrespective of colour, he never would have gotten this far.
oh for god's sake, kate.
"all of us", is ALL OF US. inclusive. as americans.
personally, i can't stand oprah, but she's been in the game for more than 20 years– to say this is the first time she's ever expressed political interest is mind-numbingly stupid.
don't tell me you're one of those people that thinks the only reason black people support him is because he's black. or the only reason women supported clinton is because she's a woman.
jebus.
buckle up. it's gonna be a looooooooooooooooooooong fall, y'all.
Kate your simple minded statement is the reason that many idiots are in office right now. Insane gas prices, a crappy housing market, and an even crappier education system are only the tip of the ice berg. It is time that we return government to the people and Obama is the man to do it. Get over the race issue. People and Oprah support Obama b/c greatness recognizes greatness. Please do us all a favor and don't reproduce.
Amazing how low our once proud country has become; a no-body, with no experience in leadership, junior senator with questionable practices to win that seat in Ill gets support from a talk show host from that state and wins the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Where was Howdy Doody when we needed him?
jeeze people… .lighten the fuck up eh?
i appologize everyone. it seems that i am the only one in the world who finds it ironic that oprah - who has never publicly endorsed a candidate for ANYTHING - suddenly has all of the faith in the world for this guy. how stupid of me for noticing.
@ Kate, if I remember correctly she openly supported Kerry vs. Bush too? was it because he had a tan?
