Katharine McPhee recently spent some time at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, thereby leading us to believe that maybe her charitable organization is more to her than just a tidy tax shelter. And while spending time with sick children isn't a novel idea for a photo opportunity, Katharine's body language makes her seem just a mite more interested in engaging these kids than this photogenic duo.

Is that even a real kid with Dumb and Dumberer? I've never seen a baby in a hospital crib with the bars down.
I've got to say that I really admire the way that celebs make the effort to see these poor sick kids. I don't think I'd be able to sit there and visit without crying, which probably wouldn't make them feel too good.
Yes, that is a real kid, and she's not a baby. She is a 4 year old with cancer. I also admire the effort that celebs make to brighten up the day of the kids who have to endure being in the hospital.
