I don't think it as to do with failing health, he still travels all over the place with his little cabaret show. His daughter lives in LA and is pregnant so he probably just wants to be able to go see his grandchild.

Regis, everyone is sick and tired of seeing you and you should have retired years ago. If you are so bored staying home, then find another hobby but get off T.V. Although Regis Philbin is only going to be on "Live" 3 days a week, he's still out on the circuit performing live along with his wife, Joy, and/or Susan Lucci. That leads me to believe that he's just tired of being a talk show host, not that he's retiring. If he does leave, I think the "Live" show should be canceled. Without the banter between Regis and Kelly, the show is only lukewarm at best.

both regis and kelly are loud mouths, their show looks like it's produced my a third grader. our local station took them off last year and replaced them with the 700 club and that is what we watch now.

I quit watching because they end every show with some hip hop group that couldn't carry a tune in a big bucket! On really bad days Howie is the guest host.

If Regis goes to 3 days a week, I doubt very seriously if Kelly Ripa can carry the show,no matter who the co-host is. She just does not have it and her stories are so uninteresting. I bet the ratings will fall big time.

Why is everyone so bitter and negative? They have both worked hard and if you don't like them - don't watch. I enjoy them but when there is someone on I don't care for I turn the channel - big deal.

I couldn't believe how the other day, the guest co-host asked Regis if this was his first Grandchild & he said "yes". I thought he has two other children by another marriage and a Grandson already.
