Black on Black Crime

barackjesse

Yes, it's true: Reverend Jesse Jackson is in hot water after being caught by Fox News microphones – which he for some reason thought were off – whispering to a colleague that he believes Barack Obama talks down to black people. Jackson, who has been publicly supportive of Obama in the past, also said that he'd like to "cut [Obama's] nuts off."

As you might imagine, Fox News is like a hog in shit over the recording, and they've been running the footage almost constantly since obtaining it yesterday. Jackson has since apologized for his comments but has yet to explain how he got stupid enough to discuss castration fantasies while mic'ed-up at a Fox News affiliate.

judging from the picture the Rev. Jesse would not only like to cut off Baraks bollocks but also to chew on them for a while. Forgive him for he knew not what he was saying.

Jackson defined himself quite well. The worst racism is to keep telling african-amercians that they cannot make it on their own. To rule a race by fear is a gross injustment, that is what Jesse Jackson has been doing for years. Its made him quite wealthy All Obama did was call for responsibility and good parenting in all races.

I loved/hated the way the guys on CNN Late Edition couldn't bring themselves to give an accurate description of what Jackson said. Memo to CNN news dorks: If the guy said "nuts", say "nuts" - not "manhood" or any other euphemism. Clear communication, please.

I call bullshit. JJ has been a media figure long enough to understand what you do and do not say when there are cameras present. Way to jaw yourself back into pop relevance, Reverend Heimytown.

jesse jackson needs his angst to further his causes because now that we have an african american running for president and actually could win, he won't have his ''struggles" anymore for the minorities.. it means, "okay, now we are equal, go for it" "oummmm no, uh i want to be discriminated against!" careful what you wish for, fight for, because it will come true. Jessee get a grip.

I am from scotland so please forgive me if I don't understand your local ways.

I watched CNN and this story. Two things struck me as odd.

    1. One of 3 folk commenting on this story (the only white guy…. the others being some black woman and Sharpton). The white guy prefaced every renark with "Of course, I don't know enough about the black community/as I said, I am not the best person to comment/ad nauseaum. I watch CNN a lot. I have never heard any black person apologising before commenting on Bush/Clinton/McCain/etc. Are you all really so scared?

    2. Jackson (like Sharpton) is, was and always will be a racist. Does nobody have the guts to say that?

Unfortunately Molly, nobody does have the guts to say that anymore. Everyone is walking on eggshells and is afraid to make any comment that might in any way be misconstrued as racist for fear of Revs. Al & Jesse coming in and blackmailing them. And yes, he and Sharpton are major racists.

I too sense a weee bit of envy on the part of the Reverend. I also agree with GGVBSFMO, Jesse has always used the victim angle instead of empowering people to help themselves.
