John Voight: 'Hey, I'm Here'

Thus far, celebrities are a rare sight at the Republican National Convention, presumably because the GOP has in recent years worked hard to eradicate things famous people love, like sex and gays. Anaconda star and hated father John Voight is there, but he's basically just running around by himself, calling Obama a socialist and reminding everyone why his daughter doesn't want him around her kids.

We'll let you know if anyone else shows up. If so, five bucks says it's either a country singer or Chuck Norris.

Heidi and Spencer are supporters so they well be paid to turn up. Failing that, one of the Baldwin brothers.

Also, Fred Thompson is giving a speech. He's in Die Hard 2 and on Law and Order and that's all I need in a celebrity.

I see your point, but the real scandal to me regards all these bank failures. Not to mention neither the dems or GOP talk about deflation or all these bank failures, had another one today in GA, Dang, That's makes 10. Yep Paulin will back fire for McCain, but my pocket is more important

No. 8 Mr. T says:

Yes, all the glamour went for Barrack. He's a celebrity icon. The man walks on water. Obama the magnificent. Obama the benevolent. I understand you will achieve instant karma if you support Obama. The brilliance of Hollywood is clear now. It is clear to me now that America will receive our salvation when we elect Obama to be our President of the world. Our enemies will run away crapping their pants rather than face the glare of the Obama. The price of oil will drop so low that they will pay us to drive our cars. We will have instant prosperity and future problems will never materialize! Won't life be grand! Yea!!!!!

So…that's not at all what Obama has been saying. And it's Barack, not Barrack. The republicans have made Americans cynical, and have made others cynical of America. We've squandered a once great nation and with leadership like Obama's we might be able to become great again. So come on Mr. T, are you just fuming because you didn't get an invitation to the DNC?

And yeah Sarah, I read it in Rolling Stone back when he was quasi-relevant.

I'm sure the Republicans LOVE having him on board.

Anyway, Mr. T, are you saying you're not glamorous?

Kudos Mr. T… regardless of his actual viability as a good president, this is exactly what I feel like I hear every day.

I can't believe the SAME PEOPLE who bitch about religious types getting in people's faces, are practically fanatical and downright smug about Obama, and won't shut up. Politics is the new Religion.

Leno is a Democrat.

JJ Walker, LL Cool J, a few pageant girls, Chaka Kahn. I think 50 Cent is a Republican. Daddy Yankee.

Every time Jon Voight opens his mouth, I love Angelina Jolie more and remind myself that I missed nothing by not having my own rich deadbeat dad in my life.

All of the celebrities on Obama side, are the uber rich ones. And they want us to think that Democrats are for the regular people?
Give me a break.
I don't mind having Jon Voight at all for the Repulicans. Angelina is by far not perfect.
And she may be voting for McCain too. Remember her mind is not made up yet, which seemed to set off good Democrat Roseanne Barr. (and Jon is supposed to be an embarassment compared to her?)

Democrats have done their part to "make America cynical" as well. Celebrities don't show up to the RNC for this reason - it's cool to go to the DNC, but if you dare show your face at the RNC, you're mocked.
