Early reviews of Rosie O’Donnell’s book, Celebrity Detox are saying it’s baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. A “train wreck,” to be exact. Take a look:

This is a train wreck of a book ??? part self-help psychobabble, part searing memoir ??? by a grown woman who lost her mother as a child. It???s baffling and fascinating and brutally honest, although some stories defy logic.

Let this excerpt of Detox – in which Rosie makes a plea to ex-Boss Barbara Walters – embolden your trust in the critique above and fight off any pangs of interest in this book you may be feeling. What the selection lacks in length, it makes up for with angst:

???you did not defend me. And I have been a good, loyal daughter to you. And I want you to be a good mother to me. Don???t let the bad man hurt me.

Baby talk in mass production! Baby talk!

I don’t think Babwa has a problem with the gays, I just think she has a distinct problem with kissing Rosie. I would make out with Angelina Jolie, but I would never make out with Rosie. It’s a matter of degrees.

And not to be Perezish, but I’ve always had a suspicion that Babwa was a “sister.” To use horribly antiquated terminology for “lesbian.”
