Infighting

Vociferous leftist lady Susan Sarandon was recently asked in an interview with The Advocate if she would play Democrat dropout Hillary Clinton in a movie about the Senator's life. As you might imagine, the answer was no, but, oh, it was so much more, also!

No. I’ve been around her and don’t find her… At this point, to say after what’s happened to her campaign and how they squandered all that money and all the different reasons her campaign fell apart, to blame it on sexism, I find so destructive to every young girl who dreams about making a difference through government. Instead of saying, "Look how far I’ve gotten and you can do it too," and all the positive things she could have done, she’s turned into such a blamer and whiner, as if that was the reason, when clearly she wouldn’t have been in the position she was in if she hadn’t been a woman.

If she hadn’t been married to that man and hadn’t had the Democratic machine behind her. To now turn around and say it was sexism I find so dishonorable and really destructive to women all over, young women all over. So I don’t really respect her enough to want to play her, and I find it sad and disappointing.

susan sarandon is dissing someone else over alleged whining? rofl. ss has been whining about bushco for 8 yrs, even threatening to leave the country when he was elected 2x - but never did. ha ha ha hypocrite.

i'm neutral on hillary, but it's always disappointing to see anyone who raises attention to discrimination told to shut up, sit down, and stop whining. mmkay.

since the primaries were resolved, i haven't seen or heard of hillary whining. did miss socially conscious sarandon not watch the dnc last week? what whining?

the hollywood crowd are the last people who should ever take swipes at the personal lives of politicians. pot meet kettle.

way more rambling than i shld bother with on a gossip blog, so ha ha.

stfu–take your own advice.

Sure, it's a bit caddy and unprofessional to voice your opinions like this to the media, Lohan-style. But since I agree with her, I guess I don't find any problems with it. Hillary's main experience has been to stay with a man who likes to get blown by fat girls. But sure, okay, it's sexism that kept you away from the presidency.

Also, I'm feeling bitter today.

I think Hillary's most obvious problem was she let her vindictiveness show. ALL politicians, for the most part, can be vindictive…but it shouldn't be so freakin' apparent. That's what I get from her…a feeling of "watch your back" and that just ain't comforting. And yes, I do think she whined a bit. There are a multitude of women qualified to be President of these states…unfortunately, I don't think they're running or weren't "chosen" to be supported. Hillary had the "Bill" machine behind her (a spot, I doubt he's seen real often..heh), but it kinda, sorta, backfired, for whatever reason. I don't know…I don't believe that "now's not the time for a woman"…I think it just wasn't the time for her. And as to the "other" woman running….sheesh, that's another story altogether. Shocking that with all the talent out there, this is the best that can be thrown to the public, on the female side. The ridiculousness of it burns…..

I'll show myself out now.

Hilary is a whining bitch. And she's narcissistic and entitled too which are even more hateful qualities. Susan is right not to play her.

I think this country often has problems with picking the best of the best to represent. This year isn't terrible… but the last election? God… both were a crapshoot. It's unfortunate how much politics relies on the green - it rarely seems to be completely about "the people."

Hillary is the Senator for NY State because she was married to Bill. The only reason she took that job was so that she could run for president. She assumed that she was the Chosen One and everything would go smoothly. When it didn't, she and Bill used street-fighting, uncouth methods to try to win. She didn't. Hey, that's the way it goes in today's politics on a national level, especially. Then she tried to turn her "women" into "Angry Women" to keep her political force. Screw her. She lost, others won- time to forget her and plow ahead, because, let's face it, McCain picked a firecracker to help him win and if we don't study what Palin says and what she actually did as Mayor, Governor etc…. they're gonna scoop Obama and Biden. As Bill Mahr would say, "KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL".

So, stfu, criticizing Bushco for an illegal invasion and occupation of a country, illegal wiretapping, torture and ignoring environmental problems is "whining"? Do you think people should just say nothing while Bushco subverts UN principles, shreds rights and ignores eco concerns?

sort of, cerebratious - but come on. susan sarandon having a lot of opinions doesn't make her less of a hollywood actress or more of a political figure. maybe it's less appropriate to mess with sarah palin's hairdo because it detracts from serious issues…. but susan sarandon has never been someone i looked to for guidance on anything but how to hang out and make crazy-times with geena davis.

Run-DMS, i hate bushco. worst fucking president, worst admin, in the history of our nation. but i don't go around mouthing off at other people - regardless of gender - about how "they" are supposedly whining about this that or the other. i think sarandon mouthing off constantly about threatening to do stuff like leaving the country was silly - she's not gonna leave america, so why even claim it? as for her thoughts on hillary, i think a woman who was considered a srs contender for the wh has done a helluva lot more for breaking the female glass ceiling than sarandon. with bitch-face palin terrorizing our airwaves, it paints hillary in a way different light, y/n? but sarandon is bitching about her. just seemed pointless, misguided, and in poor taste.
