Heard about this movie Gangbang in the Gotham or Humping in the Apple or something? It comes out this week and the media can't seem to stop talking about either it or the advertising for it; a funny thing considering that talking about how crazy the advertising is for a movie is simply advertising for a movie in a crazy way. (Please, make the check out to "Cash," Sarah Jessica.)
Anyway, professional thieves in both New York and LA are already thinking of ways to swindle fans of Parker et al into paying exorbitant amounts of money to see this movie, which, though insane, seems to be working.
Among the most elaborate: sold-out "Sex and the City" tours throughout Gotham on Friday. The tours, starting at 10 minute intervals in mid-afternoon, stop off at the Pleasure Chest, where Charlotte purchased her Rabbit sex toy, and the bakery where Miranda devoured cupcakes, before a nosh, screening of the movie and afterparty at Guesthouse. Cosmos aren't included in the $130 pricetag…
Hey, if Carrie and the girls have taught us anything, it's spend indiscriminately and never worry about the consequences, because life is a fucking TV show. Have fun!

Lighten up man..
Good to have you back, Cord.
I cannot tell you how happy I am that I have not seen one episode of this show.
Cord man, I do agree with you on this one. I find the show mildly amusing sometimes, and yeah, I can relate to some of the situations- but wow does it preach totally fucked up values.
Of course I also love South Park and Sopranos so what do I know ;-)
AAhhhh.
This show, satc was similar to a S.O.
that you really enjoyed spending alone time with.
But you knew better than to bring him/her around to the family.
They would tear him/her UP. And you would have to hear about it. All. The. Time.
So, you enjoyed your secret alone time, and when it was done, you moved on.
Now, He/She is back in town. And creating a big stir. You know the bloom has worn off of the flower for you.
Do you orchestrate an accidental meeting? Buy the tickets? Or do you just savor the memories and let it be?
Do you let those who are still enthralled have their pleasure? As you quietly sip your beer, feeling content and smiling knowing you can get it on dvd for Christmas for free?
:-)
It's ironic you would post such a rant amid so many sex and the city ads on your website. That being said, I think your website is smarter than the average bear and well worth the read!
Awesome analogy QC!
They've been doing the SATC tour in NYC for a few years. I want to go just to see who pays for this sort of thing. My guess is middle aged women from the midwest who like to classify themselves as a Samantha/Carrie/ Miranda/Charlotte.
Um, why the hostility? Seriously. Get over it. It's a movie that a lot of people happen to like.
your wonderful hope u can get back to the screen
