Five days, people, and the long-awaited, understandably mocked Lynne Spears memoir, Through the Storm, will be upon us.

The cover photo finds Spears, deliverer of Britney and Jamie Lynn, staring pensively out of a window, thinking on some unknown turbulence, surely considering how her daughters' money will help her carry on. And the tome's content is just as ridiculous.

Lynne was just an ordinary Southern mom when the overnight success of her daughter Britney shoved the Spears family into the blinding limelight glare.

Through the Storm takes readers beyond the reach of the paparazzi and outside the narrow orbit of the Hollywood glitterati to share the inside story of the Spears family-as only a mother can tell it. In this openhearted memoir, Lynne speaks about Britney, Jamie Lynn, Bryan, ex-husband Jamie, herself, and their lives together from Louisiana to Los Angeles, including:

Lynne’s backseat role in Britney’s path to fame and how it forever changed their family

Her regret in abdicating parental authority to managers, agents, and record companies

The challenges that shaped Lynne and Jamie’s marriage and how that affected Bryan, Britney, and Jamie Lynn

Her response to Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy

The startling events that led to Britney’s meltdown and Lynne’s showdown with manager Sam Lufti

How faith, family, and friendships have been her harbor in the storm of paparazzi, tabloid scribblers, and gossip hound s

Sincere, self-effacing, sometimes spunky, Lynne’s memoir reveals the heart of a mother who has struggled through difficult times and how she has held onto her faith and her sense of humor as she tries to hold onto her family.

Yeah, Lynne was just an ordinary Southern mom … dragging her daughter through a heavy schedule of auditions and performances, trying to make the tyke a star instead of letting her grow up like a normal kid. The "overnight success" of Twitney not really overnight, and Twitney's education was sacrificed for it. The result is the ignorant narcissist that Twitney is now.
It seems the book is a comical set of lies. What a surprise.

So is this book shipping directly to dollar stores or will those who want to read it have to wait a month until it arrives?

Overnight success? Bitch, please. Your kid was performing her entire childhood before putting out Baby One More Time, a totally disgusting song about teenagers fucking.

Run-DMS- I don't think there is anything wrong with having your child focus on learning to be a good performer from a young age, even if you keep them out of high school. You don't need to go to secondary school to become a smart person.
Her mom is stupid, but that's no excuse for Britney's behavior. Britney's her own person, she should have educated herself. I bet you she's only read like 2 books. Plenty of people have stupid parents. Britney just chose immediate pleasure over intellectual investment and philantrophy. She's selfish and stupid. Like her mother, but not because of her mother.

Oh, ilnazhad, I'd say her mother has A LOT to do with the way Twitney is today.

If that's completely true… it's because Britney is too stupid to question authority. She told us not to question Bush. And, parents are only ONE force. Britney's an adult now. You can't keep blaming her mother.

I mean, I don't get the boo hoo hoo hoo about Britney Spears. She asks photos to bring her a frapp when they snap her pics. She could move away and stop trying to make a comeback. She begs for the attention.
And she is not clinically insane, so there is no exuse for this. Bad parents? I know Nazis that had children who turned into seraphs.

The challenge of raising children is that you need to teach and prepare them for life. Lynn obviously did not prepare Britney. Parents should be authority figures, not your best friend. Any parent who knowingly lets their 16 year old daughter have boys sleep over should be expecting a baby.

I'm not saying that being a good role-model isn't important. Yesterday, I was hanging out with a six-year-old and he was making fun of Chinese people. I told him that Chinese people aren't "ugly" and all races are equal. Later, I was talking to his mom, and she was like "I was so scared he was going to have Chinese girlfriends." Then she pulled the skin around her eyes… A six-year-old cannot be blamed for this.
I do think parenting is most important role most of us ever play. But your parents do not completely determine who you are as an adult.
What? Are we not supposed to blame Paris Hilton for being racist towards blacks? Maybe her parents taught her to be. And her grand-parents made her parents racist…. blah blah blah. They are adults and they have resource after resource to teach them the truth. They CHOOSE to fuck around.

Well, Lynne's first mistake was not terminating the pregnancy. I think that's pretty obvious.

I know. Look at all they do for so-called "life" (uh, fetus) and how little they do for actual life.

Yeah, I met some in Thailand. But I didn't befriend them or anything. We just met. Their kids were really good people, though. I befriended the kids. Only.

I blame the dumbasses that buy the books (including this piece of shit), the CDs, the merchandise and who give Britney good reviews for shitty music and sitcom appearances.

I know no one is going to read this now, but I feel that it's important to mention that the above sarah is not me. I don't know if this so-called "sarah" is posting around anywhere else on here, this is the first I've heard of her, but please do not confuse us.

Not that she said anything wrong. She's just not me. If I'd known there was another one out there, I would've picked a different screen-name. "Slut," actually. God I wish I'd gone with "Slut."
