This Is An Outrage

Who knew Howard Stern was so sensitive? The shock jock took to the airwaves to deny reports that he was helping a 22-year-old girl auction off her virginity … because he has such a great reputation to defend? We don't get the outrage. He insists that he only invited her onto his show to interview her, not to assist in the process: "I'm really aggravated by this. I don't feel like defending myself to my kids about something that's in the paper that isn't true."

Fair enough, Howard. You can go back to being America's moral compass.

I have been avoiding commenting on this.

No one wants to hear this old lady say: I just want to smack that ass.

Sorry. I held it back just as long as I could.

Go to bed children.

QC–I giggled when I read your comment, then actually scrolled back up to look at the picture in that regard. The result? My keyboard is covered in orange juice. Thanks.

Howard was interested in why this girl was auctioning her virginity off, and interviewed her about it. That's all. (Something even Mollygood would do?) She was doing this all by herself! And then some assholes portrayed it like *he* was auctioning her off…

As a fan, I can tell you that Howard has always been very sensitive about the media inaccurately reporting about his show. Howard is also a father of three daughters, and was worried about them having to defend him, as he was yet again being portrayed as some kind of women-hating exploitative asshole. (Which is not true, IMO.)

BTW, gay people should love this man for defending gay rights (in his own unique way). Talking about gay sex on terrestrial radio in the 1980s is one of the reasons why Howard has such a bad reputation. "Moral people" love to badmouth Howard, and spread inaccuracies about the show. Fuck 'em!
