Given Five Weeks to Live

Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze has five weeks to live, according to a shocking new report…

The actor, 55, was reportedly diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs.

For the past month, the actor and dancer has been traveling to Stanford University’s prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer optimistic that the treatments will be successful…

Bear in mind that this news comes from the National Enquirer, which has been wrong many times before.

If this is true, it's very sad. Pancreatic cancer is really tough to beat. My dad died six weeks after he had been diagnosed with it.

Never been a big Swayze fan (except for the Chippendale's routine on SNL) but I hope the Enquirer got it wrong, and that he lives a long and happy life.

Didn't they also claim Mc Steamy (I choose to not refer to him by his real name) had lip cancer? I hope they are wrong about this. Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Chippendales skit on SNL, that's all good stuff there. It would be very sad.

I am a big Swayze fan, I really hope this is not true. He just seems like such happy/cool guy. And he made Roadhouse, one of the most awesome movies set in Missouri ever. Only Swayze could adequately play a philosopher/club bouncer.

Who doesn't love Johnny? Man, if this is true I will be so sad. And my poor mother (who in her late 30's, early 40's) had a HUGE poster of Patrick Swayze) will be devastated.

Oh, Juju, I forgot - Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite movies, cheesy as it is. I must have dropped Swayze from my viewing around Roadhouse.

I had a huge crush on Patrick and Roadhouse pretty much killed it. I'm still not sure what the hell it was about. Thankfully the jujubees sent me into a sugar coma so I missed most of it.

Has anyone actually heard from his reps about this rumor? You would think they would want to set the record straight.

juju, I think it was OK! that ran the whole McSteamy story, but I could be wrong.

That's right, it was OK. I know a lot of the crap in tabloids are either made up or very twisted versions of the truth. But to print something like this and not be 100% sure would be beyond nasty.

Not to mention things like that are supposed to be confidential. Even if it is true what if he hasn't been able to tell all of his family? What a horrible way to find that out. Unless your dr is Dr. Phil. Who's not really a doctor in the traditional sense.

My friends and I went to the movies every Sunday afternoon for 9 weeks to see Dirty Dancing. Red Dawn and the Outsiders were favorites too along with Youngblood and Road house… we would have Swayze Crazy nights and rent all his movies and watch them all night..

I'm waiting for the Christmas in Wonderland movie to be released- filmed right here at the local mall. There were quite a few Swayze sightings and he was said to be very nice and sign autographs for fans.

Please help me get a message to Mr. Swayze. Might be life saving.

Maybe an e-mail address of one of his care takers?

    Thank you
