Leonardo DiCaprio and girlfriend Bar Refaeli's bodyguards have been arrested in Israel following an altercation with paparazzi that took place outside the sacrosanct Western Wall:
DiCaprio and Refaeli were taking a private tour of the Western Wall tunnels, Reuters reports, and photographers waited outside the tunnels for the couple, whose visit has stirred up a media frenzy in Israel. "Two of [DiCaprio's] security guards were arrested by police after being involved in a fight that broke out," said Micky Rosenfeld, a police spokesman, to Reuters. "They are being questioned."
A spokesperson for the bodyguards has said they were simply fed up with the paparazzi's occupation of their clients' personal space, which they believe should be their sovereign territory. In response, the paparazzi have said that the term "occupation" is a point of contention, and they argue that, at most, the personal space should be considered "disputed."
