TELL US SOMETHING WE DON'T KNOW "After months of speculation, Jennifer Garner has officially confirmed she is expecting a second child with her husband, Ben Affleck, in a new interview with Access Hollywood."

ALL BABIES ALL THE TIME! "Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck are expecting another baby, Garner’s former Alias co-star Victor Garber confirms to Usmagazine.com. 'Yes, she is,' Garber, who currently stars on ABC's Eli Stone, told Us when asked if recent speculation was true that the couple is expecting. (Garber officiated the couple's 2005 wedding.) A source adds, 'She is five months pregnant. They are very happy.'"

NEW BENNIFER TO GO WAY OF OLD BENNIFER? "Sources insist … that Jennifer Garner is considering splitting up from her hubby, Ben Affleck. Say it ain't so, baby-cakes! Nevertheless, waiting on comment now from both parties. Could this be the reason Jen and Ben are always seen cooing over adorable daughter Violet separately, rarely as one happy family unit? Perhaps. And certainly, those who know the former Alias star well insist Ben's mama has never particularly cared for the gal who broke Michael Vartan's heart to hook up with Benny-Boy in the first place."

Old News as New News

affleckjlospank

Even though they've now been apart for half a decade — during which time they both found new lovers and had children — Ben Affleck is still asked to discuss his hugely publicized, failed relationship with JLo. Lucky for his interrogators, it seems the actor and budding director suffers fools much more gladly than many other smart people do:

He says, "If I have a big regret, it was doing the ["Jenny from the Block"] video. But that happened years ago. I've moved on."

But Affleck insists he isn't blaming Lopez for his career nosedive: "It not only makes me look like a petulant fool (to blame Lopez), but it surely qualifies as ungentlemanly? For the record, did she hurt my career? No."

Today: Liberal Thinkers

libthinks

Celebrities make too much money. Subjective, sure, but probably true. Truer still is that very often those fortunes are wasted in inglorious, ill-planned blazes.

But sometimes the millions serve a higher purpose; sixth homes declined in favor of the public that makes a celebrity a celebrity. Yet where are those figures in Star and the National Enquirer?

Screw Birkin bags, time for money that counts: political donations.

The Priorities of Men

afflecklead

After putting years of dedication, thousands of dollars and his sibling into his directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone, the more handsome Affleck brother is already over it.

Seconds before the lights dimmed at the Cinema Society's screening of "Gone Baby Gone," the director, Ben Affleck, was, well, gone. "I'm going to go watch the game," we heard him whisper just before he slipped out of the packed IFC Center to see his beloved Red Sox lose to the Cleveland Indians.

His movie is more boring than baseball? Yikes.

The Wayans brothers and Sharon Stone are topping this year's Razzie awards, the annual picks of the worst pictures of the year. Each of their films—Little ManI and Basic Instinct II, respectively—received seven nominations, including Worst Picture for both movies, Worst Actress for Stone and Worst Actor for both Marlon and Shawn Wayans.

"We stuck the siblings together to allow room for more dreck," said Razzies founder John Wilson.

The other worst-picture nominees were the fantasies "BloodRayne" and "Lady in the Water" and the thriller "The Wicker Man."

Joining Stone and the Duffs in the worst-actress category were Lindsay Lohan for "Just My Luck," Kristanna Loken for "BloodRayne" and Jessica Simpson for "Employee of the Month."

Stone previously won a Razzie as worst-actress for 1994's "The Specialist" and "Intersection."

"She's what we call a Razzie repeat offender. Perhaps even a recidivist," Wilson said.

Even though Basic Instinct II appears to be in the lead, I'm really crossing my fingers for the Wayans brothers to win (lose?) this one. Those guys have been sucking for years, and nobody's really called them on their bullshit. Perfect example: White Chicks.

To this day, I'm still unsure as to how everyone in media was looking away when that movie came out. White Chicks was overtly racist and sexist and, nevertheless, it grossed almost $70 million in the US alone. If Ben Affleck and Matt Damon pitched a movie called "Black Girls" to Paramount, and the film involved them being heavily made-up to resemble black women and then running around acting silly, they'd be physically tossed off the lot and the media would be up in arms.

Are you with me? Because here comes Little Man, a movie about a dwarf nobody can tell isn't a baby, even though he smokes, drinks and has tattoos and facial hair. Whaaaaaaaaaat? Really?

Here's to hoping those guys win the Razzie and then are never allowed to make a movie ever again.

PS Even if Sharon Stone's bad in Basic Instinct II, she still looks very pretty.

blows some cool smoke rings until it makes the very un-cool mistake of overstaying its welcome

Now, is that referring to the movie Smokin' Aces, or the party for its premiere? Well, technically speaking, that's how Variety describes the movie. It'd be hard to say as much for the party, where the likes of Alicia Keys, Ben Affleck, Andy Garcia, Common, and Chris Rock showed up at the Roosevelt to celebrate the flick starring those first three. Wherever stars Ray Liotta's snarl and Ryan Reynolds' six pack were, were, perhaps we'll never know. But wasn't it Ryan's ex Alanis Morissette who always told us that we "oughta know"? Damn that woman and her incomprehensible lyrics!
