I Hate Huckabees

Yesterday on The View, the Reverend Mike Huckabee, political loser and sanctimonious miscreant, said something totally astounding: that blacks are more deserving of civil rights than gays because they've endured more violence. Seriously. He said that.

Asked by co-host Joy Behar why it would be bad to do away with the traditional "institution" of marriage, whereas it was fine for blacks to want to do away with the traditional "institution" of segregation, Huckabee responded: "But here is the difference. Bull Connor was hosing people down in the streets of Alabama. John Lewis got his skull cracked on the Selma bridge." Nice talk, REVEREND!

Here's why Mike Huckabee is a disgusting, ignorant hatemonger…

Fresh off his role as the punchline to Gov. Mike Huckabee's presidential bid, Chuck Norris is taking a fresh stab at politics by weighing in on Proposition 8 protests. In an op-ed called "If Democracy Doesn't Work, Try Anarchy," he cries, "Where are the hate-crime cops when religious conservatives need them?"

The whole piece is a gobbledygook of half truths, race-baiting and feigned outrage that form a sort of Greatest Hits list of Yes On 8 talking points over the last week. Even though we've disproved these things half a dozen times already, we'll break it down again, because if there's one thing public education has proven it's that endless repetition can reach even the dimmest of minds.

Prince, with his frilly silk shirts and high heel everything, has long been the victim of rumors about his sexuality, and his libido-infused party jams have helped acquire the Minnesota-born musician a devoted gay fan base. So you can imagine our surprise upon learning that the Purple One, who has for several years been an outspoken Jehovah's Witness, went on a homophobic rant during a recent interview with the New Yorker, saying that, in the past, God came down and wiped out homosexual activity.

Foes in High Places

Cinemark Theaters, the company hemorrhaging money since the great candy recession rocked America, is apparently headed up by a crotchety old Sour Patch Man who hates gay people. Dig it: "Alan Stock, the head of the large movie chain Cinemark, which also goes by the names Century Theatre, CineArts and Tinseltown, gave $9,999 to the 'Yes on 8' campaign." Consider this your formal call to boycott Cinemark and its demonic cat goblin mascot, which is gay (JUST LOOK AT THAT FORM-FITTING TUX!!!!).

MORMON TEMPLES UNDER ATTACK AFTER PROP 8 PASSAGE • "Letters containing a suspicious white powder were sent Thursday to Mormon temples in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City that were the sites of protests against the church's support of California's gay marriage ban. The temple in the Westwood area of Los Angeles was evacuated before a hazardous materials crew determined the envelope's contents were not toxic, said FBI spokesman Jason Pack. The temple in downtown Salt Lake City, where the church is based, received a similar envelope containing a white powder that spilled onto a clerk's hand. … Protests in recent days have targeted the Mormon church, which encouraged its members to fight the recently passed amendment banning gay marriage in California." Old Coots

Ever wonder where Rahm Emanuel, abrasive, nine-fingered Chicago gangster and Barack Obama's new chief of staff, got his spiteful disposition? Probably from his father, a former Israeli terrorist, who said this when asked if his son would help strengthen the Obama administration's ties to Israel:

SORE, SCARY LOSERS "… a family who had supported Obama's campaign emerged from their home in the northwestern New Jersey town of Hardwick Thursday morning to find the charred remnants of a 6-foot wooden cross on their front lawn. Pieces of a homemade bed-sheet banner reading 'President Obama — Victory '08,' which had been stolen from the yard the night before, also were found, leading investigators to believe the banner had been wrapped around the cross before it was set afire."

PROP 8 TAINTS OBAMA VICTORY FOR DEGENERES "Ellen DeGeneres says she is 'saddened beyond belief' by the passage of a constitutional amendment in California banning gay marriage. The talk show host said in a statement Wednesday to The Associated Press that she, 'like millions of Americans, felt like we had taken a giant step toward equality' by electing Barack Obama as president. DeGeneres says that with the passage of California’s Proposition 8, 'we took a giant step away.'"

PROP 8 IN TROUBLE "A measure to once again ban gay marriage in California led Tuesday, throwing into doubt the unions of an estimated 18,000 same-sex couples who wed during the last 4 1/2 months. As the measure, the most divisive and emotionally fraught on the state ballot this year, took a lead in early returns, supporters gathered at a hotel ballroom in Sacramento and cheered."

Superman That Foe

In case you're still of the belief that Soulja Boy is nothing more than a young, benign rapscallion trying to find his way in a tricky world, once again, let us assure you: Soulja Boy is a pox on not just the music community, but also the black community.

Don't take our word for it, let the young embarrassment himself convince you:

RACIST LIAR COPS A PLEA "Ashley Todd, the 20-year-old John McCain volunteer who lied and said that a big black man mugged and sexually assaulted her before carving a 'B' for Barack into her face last week, struck a deal with prosecutors and will be released from jail today. She has to undergo psychiatric counseling…"

Hate, Baby, Hate

Well aware that things aren't going well for their guy, Sarah Palin and a bunch of angry Iowa Republicans got together in Des Moines yesterday to whine about Barack Obama. While the vice-presidential nominee went on a crazy cat lady rant about how Obama's policies would make it so that the things a person buys aren't theirs (a lie, by the way), one of her supporter's decided to cut the chit chat and get right to the heart of the matter: "he's a nigger!"

Palin says nothing of the slur, a move that's cowardly at best and a tacit agreement at worst.

Video after the jump.

NEW INSANE GOP ROBOCALL QUESTIONS OBAMA'S 'RADICALISM' "The Republican National Committee is sending out another round of automated anti-Obama calls that, somewhat remarkably, include segments from a controversial program that recently aired on Fox News. In text messages sent to voters, the RNC instructs recipients to call a number to 'know the facts' … Once dialed in, callers are read the standard text of the robocalls tying Obama to former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers. Then participants get a dose of the fair and balanced. The recording that viewers hear next is the final section of the 'Obama & Friends: The History of Radicalism' special program that ran recently on Fox News. That show, quite famously, featured Sean Hannity interviewing Andy Martin, an 'Internet journalist' who once called a judge a 'crooked, slimy Jew' and advanced the conspiracy theory that '[w]e have not seen a valid Obama birth certificate.'"

But This One Is Much, Much, Much, Much, Much Scarier Than the Other Ones. We Promise

Heyo! Some dusty old man finally used a really country derivative of the word "nigger" at a Sarah Palin rally in Ohio:

When you've got a nigra running for president, you need a first stringer. He's definitely a second-stringer

(emphasis by me, the NIGRA)

And here's the best part: This hatred and more, much of it directed at Muslims, was all filmed by Al-Jazeera! Nice work, Americans against terror.

Listen to the rest here.

Pox News

Remember earlier when we were all, "Hahaha! Colin Powell dances funny!" and left it at that, because all we were talking about was a stupid picture of an old guy dancing? Here's the ever-wearying Fox News' take on that very same, seemingly meaningless photo:

Colin Powell showed off his hip-hop moves at an 'Africa Rising' celebration in London Tuesday, fueling speculation that the former secretary of state is about to endorse Barack Obama for president.
