You didn't think Pete Doherty was the first rock star to toy with fascist imagery, did you?
Here's David Bowie pulling his famous Sieg Heil in 1976 at London's Victoria Station.

Rock legend David Bowie has donated $10,000 to the defense fund of the so-called Jena Six, the six black teenagers arrested in Jena, Louisiana for the beating of a white classmate last year.
"A donation to the Jena 6 Legal Defence Fund is my small gesture indicating my belief that a wrongful charge and sentence should be prevented," said the 60-year-old in a statement published on his website.
"We are gratified that rock star David Bowie was moved to donate to the NAACP's Jena campaign," said Julian Bond, chairman of the organisation's board of directors.
"Mr Bowie shares our outrage. We hope others will join him," he added.
To be absolutely sure, there is little reason these boys should be tried as adults, and the charges of attempted murder seem excessive. However, as a young, ostensibly black male, I must admit that it's interesting to know I can beat people unconscious for calling me names and still have the world's biggest celebrities on my side.
