Too Far

Here we go again with the didn't-need-to-know teenager news; this time the speculation surrounds Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe and the loss of his virginity. In the upcoming October issues of Details, Daniel reveals that he lost his virginity at age 16 to someone much older than him. And instead of leaving it at that, Us Weekly had to go digging.

Though Radcliffe doesn't name-drop, a source says in the new issue of Us Weekly the ex is Amy Byrne, an assistant hairdresser who was 23 when they met on the set of 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. His rep had no comment.

Great work, Us! Hope you feel better now that you have uncovered all the icky details of a teenager's sex life.

Too Late

shiadetails.jpg

Shia LaBeouf finally graduated from smoking in restricted areas and getting drunk at Walgreens to actual DUIs, and what better way to celebrate than with a perfectly timed Details cover? The interview, which took place before Shia's latest run-in with the law, details his childhood hobbies, also enjoyed by his father:

We would drink together and smoke together and it's just a bad deal. It's not something that is conducive to being a role model — no iconic actors that I know of have problems like that. And I don't know how to do it like a gentleman. I don't know how to have one drink.

So while I think it's absurd he won't be held responsible by the California legal system, I still hold out hope that he is self-aware enough to get himself the help he obviously needs. Of course, I'm a dreamer.

Pretty Things

baledetails

Christian Bale's beautiful face graces the cover of the latest issue of Details magazine, but the real charm lies inside the pages.

Christian explained that he had doubts the first time he tried on the suit to play Batman — turns out he's claustrophobic and the costume gave him a headache and breathing troubles.

I just said to myself, 'Breathe deeply for a few minutes. Try this out. Don't run around yelling and making an ass of yourself trying to pull the whole thing off.' I wasn't going to get it off by myself. It takes three people. I just had flashes of what an asshole I would feel like saying 'Well, I wasn't able to play that character, because I panicked every time I got in the suit.'

So are we all in agreement that it was worth working past the claustrophobia issues?

Details magazine celebrated their Mavericks 2008 issue last night in LA. Under the false pretense that they are true mavericks, a bunch of reality "stars" showed up. How embarrassing for them.

• Can you believe it? Jake Gyllenhaal left Kirsten Dunst because she partied too much. We would have never guessed. [Us]

Aretha Franklin can't catch a break, nor can those poor puppies she used to make her coat. [SH]

Lusty, Busty Men

A still-fuming Fabio spoke to Details magazine about the time two months ago when he almost came to blows with the much handsomer George Clooney, whom he alleges called his female dinner companions "Bitches [and] even badder…" The chesty hunk did not mince words:

Behind the Scenes, Not Up Front

Here is some behind the scenes footage Details magazine shot of High School Musical darling and their upcoming cover boy Zac Efron. Listen for him to twice use the adjective "classy" (which frequently says more about the user than the thing described) and then circuitously answer Leonardo DiCaprio to the question "Who was your first celebrity crush?"

They're so cute when they're this intent on seeming masculine!

But You Knew That

Exceptionally bored citizens nationwide are storming to the Internets to decry Details magazine's funny decision to highlight Kevin Federline in its latest countdown of influential men.

Here, a more vociferous opponent of K-Fed:

Lost in the 'Details'

detailscover

Details magazine has named December '07 cover model Kevin Federline one of the 50 most influential men (in America? The world?) under 45. While Details' editorial staff have clearly overestimated their ability to bullshit, one would think their accountants could have been a grounding force and reminded them that the numbers don't lie: Last time Federline made the mag's cover (March 2005), it was the second worst-selling issue of the year. (Edged out of first only by the misguided 40 Most Powerful, Strong, Clean, White Men Under 40 issue.)

Can We End That Page Now?

detailsback

The wisdom of Details (which has finally fessed up to being "sexually ambiguous"): Gay people are like straight people, but for different reasons.

One’s hot for the ladies, the other much prefers his fellow man. Whether he’s cruising the nearest glory hole or picking up the scent of a woman, this guy advances the Homo sapiens agenda: eating, sleeping, and tending to his inflamed nether regions. So get a grip on your manhood, because behind two great sexual orientations stands a great one-track mind.

Quite a telling response at Queerty: "Umm.. who buys magazines anymore?" Not us! They're too "sexually ambiguous."

In a new interview, Brad Pitt told Details magazine that it "sucks" that his looks have deteriorated since becoming 40: "'One thing sucks' about hitting 40, he says. 'Your face kind of goes. Your body's not quite working the same.'" A two-time winner of People's Sexiest Man Alive designation, Pitt is now also the recipient of the Least Pitiable Lamentation award, bestowed annually by Dude, Shut Up! magazine.

More of this crumbling monstrosity after the jump.

Jesus, Details. Can we say "overkill"? There's better ways than this to make us understand he's not a kid wizard anymore. Now, not only do we know he's a man, we know he's a man who says tears are a turn-on.
