Brooke Hogan revealed why America is going downhill at a rapid pace when she appeared on Howard Stern's radio show and displayed her political knowledge. Here's a hint: She studied up on the upcoming election so she can confidently rattle off the last names of the presidential candidates, but don't ask her to be confident about Obama's first name — that's a tricky one. And who in their right mind would expect her to recall the name of our current vice president? That is absurd.
But there's good news: She's having her bookkeeper look into registering her to vote.

First the Wall Street Journal posited that The Dark Knight was about the war on terror and that Batman was President Bush. Now this, from New York Post film critic Kyle Smith:
Batman is not charming. He isn't popular, partly because he's a zealot and partly because he doesn't bother to explain himself to the press. He is independently wealthy, having spent years as the head of an industrial company. His methods are disturbing, his operations bathed in darkness. He is misunderstood, mistrusted, endlessly pursued by the attack dogs of the night…. And he lives in an undisclosed location. Isn't it obvious? Batman is Dick Cheney with hair.
(emphasis added)
DREYFUSS DOES DICK: "…The last major bit of casting on Oliver Stone's W. is close to a done deal…Richard Dreyfuss will play elusive veep Dick Cheney… There wasn't any question that Stone was going for the president's jugular with this biopic, but Dreyfuss adds a bubbly new layer of vitriolic spittle."

The Oliver Stone-helmed George W Bush movie had so much promise. Done correctly, it would be scathing, timely, brash and important, all the things that made Wall Street good and Platoon great. But we've just read part of the script and "wind from our sails" is an understatement—the ship has sunk. W is going to be paranoia-drenched hokum; Bush biographers are already saying it "really misses the mark." Leave it up to liberals to ruin a sure thing.
