Jennifer Aniston took some time out from calling Angelina Jolie "uncool" to guest star on 30 Rock. Get this: She played a deranged stalker who is in love with a man who's no longer interested in her. Crazy, right?
Anyway, she did a decent job because there's a select few characters at which Aniston excels — and this is one of them. It still feels like she's playing Rachel at all times, but it worked in this scenario. Unfortunately for the show, her appearance failed to boost ratings in the wake of Oprah's legendary guest appearance from last week. Cue the Brangaloonies and Perez Hilton, who will surely say this is all Jen's fault and she can't do anything right.
'SEX' CAUSES PREGNANCY? "Teenagers who watch Sex in the City, Friends and other TV shows featuring sex scenes and discussions of sex are far more likely to get pregnant or get someone else pregnant than their peers, a new study has found. The study, which tracked more than 700 sexually active teenagers aged between 12 and 17 for three years, discovered that those who viewed the most sexual content were almost twice as likely to get pregnant or get their girlfriend pregnant as those who saw the least explicit TV."
COX IN 'COUGAR TOWN' Some people just don't listen: "Welcome to 'Cougar Town.' ABC has greenlighted a single-camera comedy pilot from 'Scrubs' creator Bill Lawrence to star 'Friends' alumna Courteney Cox. Produced by ABC Studios and penned by Lawrence and 'Scrubs' writer Kevin Biegel, 'Cougar Town' centers on an attractive, newly single 40-year-old mom (Cox) with a 17-year-old son. 'Forty-year-old women on TV are so beautiful and perfect and wrinkle-free,' said Lawrence, who first worked with Cox when he was a writer on 'Friends.' 'People don't do the reality of it, and there is a real comedy area about a woman who is talking about Botox, about having sex with the lights on and how her body is changing.'"
PALTROW COMES TO MADGE'S AID " Gwyneth Paltrow is helping her friend Madonna through breakup of her marriage. The actress told reporters that she's supporting the pop star following Wednesday's announcement that she's separated from filmmaker-husband Guy Ritchie. 'She's a very good friend. I'm supporting her in all the ways that I can. I'm just there for her. I speak to her a lot.'"
David Letterman recently took time from trouncing all over the mavericky reputation of noted liar John McCain to earnestly beatify his recently deceased friend, Paul Newman. According to Letterman, who raced cars with Newman for years, the actor lived life in the best way possible: "He took care of other people."
