Is there a better way for a single father to burst onto the dating scene than to be caught prancing about with an aging, Danish supermodel?

Just a week after announcing his split from Michelle Williams, [Heath] Ledger has been squiring Danish pastry Helena Christensen all over town. Tuesday night, the two were at Wakiya "making out throughout the dinner," our spy said. Acting like a good boyfriend, Ledger even "held her bag for her as she did interviews." A few weeks ago, Page Six warned sashaying fashionistas everywhere that the tents canopying Bryant Park during New York Fashion Week would play host to fewer fabulous guests this year. While the news certainly came too late for flustered, coked-up event planners to pare champagne orders, it gave us an ample amount of time to fix a cheese plate, pour a glass of red and prepare to ogle the wreckage of the most poorly attended Fashion Week ever. That said, where is everyone?

Rumors are afoot that Penelope Cruz and Bono, lead singer for a relatively unknown pop band, are becoming more than friends while vacationing together in St Tropez.

The U2 front man and the "Volver" actress have been idling in the French Riviera resort, where, last week, they strolled down the beach hand-in-hand.

Such intimacy has naturally stirred Gallic gossip - especially since Mrs. Bono, Ali Hewson, was nowhere around. Still, you should know that Bono and Penelope are sharing a yacht with a number of friends, including Helena Christensen. Also on board are Bono's daughters, Memphis Eve and Jordan. Even the randiest rock stars tend to behave themselves around their children.

Sources tell Mollygood exclusively that though Cruz is interested in getting closer to Bono, it's impossible because he won't stop masturbating in the mirror.
