Lying Lohan

Dina Lohan has displayed plenty of bad judgment in the past: She married Michael Lohan, the crazy famewhore who likely puts the latest issue of OK! magazine next to the Bible on his nightstand; she steered daughter Lindsay down the worst path possible, which led to arrests and multiple stints in rehab; then she paraded her youngest daughter, Ali, on reality television in an effort to score a record deal. It's quite sad, actually.

To aid her latest project, Dina went to the media with claims that music manager Johnny Wright is desperate to steer Ali's career, much like he has done with Justin Timberlake and the Jonas Brothers. Dina's rep issued a statement saying she was "interested and would take the meeting" with Wright. One problem: Johnny hates her guts and has no problem admitting it.

His rebuttal (Sherri Shepherd's word of the day) after the jump.

Good Choice, MTV

Despite the fact that most Americans have no idea who he is, Russell Brand was a great host for the MTV VMAs because he got people talking. True, it was at the expense of the Jonas Brothers, but that's OK because Brand kinda sorta apologized but not really:

I feel a bit bad that I kept talking about their vows to chastity, and I’d like to take this opportunity to say: No one ever have sex again. It’s a mad idea. What a crazy way to spend an evening.

Other post-show gems include his theory that Lil Wayne is from another world and "he has a message for us all." Perhaps that message has something to do with pants.

NSync 2.0

We can only hope that after this photo was taken Britney Spears told the Jonas Brothers to run for their lives. If there's anything interesting about the VMAs, it's the interactions behind the scenes between stars who would normally never speak to each other. The Jonas Brothers and Sister Christian Jordin Sparks vs Russell Brand

Besides knowing that the world is an increasingly depressing place, if you watched the Video Music Awards last night, you know they briefly morphed from a tedious insult to America's intelligence into an impromptu back-and-forth about premarital sex.

After host Russell Brand mocked young, Christian superstars the Jonas Brothers for their "purity rings," signs of their virginity, American Idol winner Jordin Sparks interrupted her scripted appearance to mew that some people wear promise rings because they don't want to be "a slut." (Because it's one or the other, apparently.)

Brand used some of his next screen time to apologize for his earlier remarks, saying, "I don't want to piss off teenage fans… Promise rings, I'm well up for it."

After the jump, Sparks' little tirade; watch John Legend's face.

Remember the accidental hilarity that occurred when a bunch of crazies stumbled upon our Corey Haim and Jonas Brothers posts? This time they've taken over a Stereohyped story about "white, female sex tourists of a certain age who vacation in Kenya, where they 'befriend' young locals in need of some extra cash." You can probably guess what happened next.

An online ticketing venue is recruiting Jonas Brothers fans (that's going to be a difficult task) to be a part of the band's outdoor VMA performance — and to sweeten the deal, fans are promised "the Top-Secret Finale Performance" (in all caps, of course). Except we have a feeling what this big secret is, and everybody knows about it. Thanks, Kim Vo.

Here Come The Crazy Commenters

The Jonas Brothers have officially been immortalized at the Washington D.C. Madame Tussauds and, naturally, about 5 million screaming girls showed up to celebrate the occasion. At first we were a little ashamed that we couldn't tell the real brothers apart from the wax statues, but then we realized we're OK with that.

A new report is hinting that one of the Jonas Brothers is gay and is planning to come out in the near future (yeah, right). "Sources fear they may lose their core audience and their lucrative contract with Disney when the truth comes out," but hopefully Lance Bass proved otherwise.

Don't Hurt Yourself

These pictures from the Jonas Brothers' latest visit to TRL made me cringe at first because those poor girls are quite obviously in the middle of a breakdown, but then I remembered I have no room to talk after my years-long *NSYNC obsession. It's good to see a boy band gain that same level of popularity again — every teenage girl should go through that sad, obsessive stage.

Poor LL Cool J

tcamileydance.jpg

When Miley Cyrus was chosen to host the Teen Choice Awards, which was filmed last night and will air tonight, we're unsure whether or not the producers expected her to hog the spotlight as much as she obviously did. Judging from the pictures, she treated the entire awards show like one of her infamous YouTube videos, including her BFF Mandy in most of her bits and ruining a perfectly good LL Cool J performance.

In other news, Dwight graced the show with his presence, Mariah continued to use a glitter microphone, Arcuhleta's dad still won't go away — and when did Chace Crawford become so good-looking?

This weekend's White House Correspondents' Dinner had a long list of inappropriate guests, but we found our top five: Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, Pam Anderson, Perez Hilton, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, and the Jonas Brothers. Now the vote is up to you: Who should have been uninvited?
