Today is kind of a milestone of mine, because it's my one year anniversary at Jossip HQ. I started out as an intern over at Jossip.com for a few months before being moved over to Mollygood full-time, so it's not my real first anniversary yet, but I'm sentimental and celebrate anytime I can. I remember showing up at what I have dubbed The Tiniest Starbucks In The World across the street from Bryant Park to interview for the internship and staring across out the window at all of the celebrities and models (and Nigel Barker!). I hadn't a clue I would be there a year later, which is what made this Fashion Week exciting for me. CONTINUED »
Speaking of Fashion Week glamour, please behold the new trend for the upcoming season(s): The man skirt, or as I have dubbed it: The Mirt. Marc Jacobs has been seen sporting it more than once around the Bryant Park tents, and I have a feeling Cord is going to start wearing one of his own around Jossip headquarters. Mark my words, this is going to be huge.

The announcement was just made internally. Visitors to PageSix.com are redirected to Page Six proper. So, what, no more infighting?
*And by era, of course, we mean a few months of desperate attempts to take down Harvey Levin.
If you've been directionless and sickened since the writer's strike brought about the abrupt cessation of your favorite evening television programming, turn to our frilly pink sisters at Jossip for some relief. Using their famous entertainment clairvoyance, they've been able to conjure plot lines and endings that, until now, were locked inside the halted brains of cappuccino-fueled union laborers.

Yes, you are a jerk for downloading the new Radiohead album for free. (In case anyone reading this is unaware of what I speak, the gist of it is that Radiohead is distributing their new album, In Rainbows, only through their website, and they have allowed people buying it to pay whatever price they feel is appropriate—zero dollars is an option.) The reason you are a jerk is because the business model Radiohead created is innovative, smart and important, and you should support that, no matter how little you can give.

Ben Widdicombe initially asked the question, "Which struggling new glossy is so out of money that staffers are having to pay for photos on personal credit cards?" Intriguing but daunting—so many pieces of shit from which to choose. But have no fear, brother blog Jossip narrows it down for you. Could it be Life & Style? Hello? Beneath here lie photos of Britney Spears' so-called "disastrous" OK! photo shoot. They're small and of poor quality, so one can't extrapolate much information from them (like if there was actually dog shit smeared on couture), but it should be said that this series doesn't really convey "crazy" any more than any other event in which poorer people dote on richer people in absurdly expensive clothes.
Update: Jossip has more information that states this fiasco isn't all that it's being touted as. And they quote, "OK! has no Britney exclsuive [sic] photos and the interview’s bad…no real revelations." Surprise, surprise: exaggeration in Hollywood.
Though the Jossip offices have been abuzz with discussion about the Victoria Beckham reality series, damning reviews and dismal ratings seem to suggest that most other offices continued to be filled today with the expression of outrage about professional sports (shudder!). Officially, the show's numbers put it in a "dead heat" with reruns of How I Met Your Mother and Old Christine. The British have a saying for this: Rubbish, innit?
Say hello to Stereohyped, the newest addition to Jossip's united front. It's a black-interest blog offering information about music, fashion, movies, books and politics; and it's a breath of fresh air in an Internet that offers up sites called "Lowered Expectations" when one googles "black blogs."
Sterohyped promises to be an interesting read for everyone; because even if you're not black, your best friend is. Right?
