Scarlett Johansson wasted no time in debuting her engagement ring from fiancé Ryan Reynolds at last night's Costume Institute Gala at NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Pretty much every celebrity you can imagine was in attendance (except for Reynolds), and 95 percent of the wardrobe choices made our heart cry.

While promoting her new film 21 Wednesday night in NYC, Kate Bosworth admitted she got herself so drunk during the acting process she doesn't remember shooting a love scene with co-star Jim Sturgess: "We were both so drunk. Jim and I became such good friends, we decided to have a couple of drinks, loosen up and go for it."
Sturgess agreed, adding that the two had so much Grey Goose he couldn't stand at one point during filming. Lightweights.
While we're sure the director and crew appreciated their professionalism, it's not really Kate's fault: She could have a sip of liquor and we're sure it would make her tiny little body suffer from alcohol poisoning.

Once, I heard Montel Williams explain to a rapt audience of detention moms that he didn't let his children kiss him on the lips. He felt that it crossed a sexual line and exposed his kids to a range of identity issues. That day he also proved himself to be a stupid idiot you should never take advice from.
Kissing friends and loved ones on the lips isn't a big deal (remember "a kiss is just a kiss"?). When morons like Montel Williams teach their children otherwise, they're creating a new generation of restrained puritans who get outraged by bare breasts; and those people can kiss my ass.

The 2007 Food Bank of New York Can-Do Awards were held last night in New York. In attendance were David Bowie, Iman, Michael Stipe, co-chair Mario Batali, Patti Smith, Helena Christensen and Kate Bosworth.
This year's honorees included U2 guitarist The Edge and Jimmy Fallon, for their dedication to helping end hunger in New York City. Later, the bevy of aged models in the audience were all lauded with "Lifetime Achievement in Suppression" awards, honoring those New Yorkers whose strict abstinence in the face of food meant more for the homeless.

I guess with all the work Kate Bosworth has been doing down in Australia this week, she didn't have an opportunity to debut her flapper ghost costume on actual Halloween. Better late than never, I guess.
Kate Bosworth is back in Sydney, where she filmed Superman Returns, to act as Motorolas' Spring Racing Carnival Ambassador. I'm not sure what that means, but I don't think she can actually participate in any sort of athletic competitions.
Also, I use the term "thunder" liberally, because Kate probably treads so lightly (even in those clompy shoes) she wouldn't even leave footprints in freshly fallen snow. ET breaks the news that 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star ORLANDO BLOOM and on-again, off-again girlfriend of nearly four years, 'Superman Returns" KATE BOSWORTH, have split.
Sources close to the former couple tell ET that Orlando and Kate have decided to go their separate ways.
The couple's rep could not be reached for comment.
Orlando is currently on location in Southern California shooting 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End.' He was last seen on the "Teen Choice Awards"' red carpet August 20, where he accepted the surfboard award for "Choice Hottie."
Ah well, perhaps as Orlando runs into the waiting arms of every woman under 60 in sight, Kate will drown her break-up sorrows in food like the rest of us. That could be for the best.
