Remember when I told you guys about how Michael Phelps rejected me at Bowlmor's 70th anniversary party and instead went back to his lane so he could put his arm around some girl? Well, I found the girl: Miss California contestant Nicole Johnson. The two have been spotted out together a lot lately — she even flew back to Baltimore with him last week. And a source at the Bowlmor party confirmed the girl I spotted with Michael was indeed Nicole:

While Phelps told reporters on the red carpet that he's not dating anyone, Johnson quietly slipped into the booth at his lane. As the two canoodled, a bevy of female fans began to snap shots of the duo, prompting an enraged Johnson to stand, cast a stern look at the crowd and yell, 'Who is taking pictures?'

I hate her already. That's immature, but I do.

HOW WOULD JESUS POSE? "An Italian priest says he's organizing an online beauty pageant for nuns to give them more visibility in the Catholic church and to fight the stereotype that they're all old and dour. … Nuns will fill out a profile of their life and vocation as well as a photograph. It will be up to them whether to pose with the traditional veil or with their heads uncovered."

Kirsten Haglund, who was crowned Miss America Saturday night, revealed that she used to be anorexic. A beauty pageant contestant who suffered from an eating disorder — there's something you don't see every day.

Just three years ago, [she] was eating tiny portions of food and became so thin her concerned parents "dragged me to the doctor."

Haglund was diagnosed with anorexia, and the lack of nutrition caused her collar bones to stick out, her heart rate to drop and her relationships to suffer.

"I would feel fatigued walking up six stairs," the 19-year-old Haglund said Sunday, a day after being crowned Miss America 2008. "I was a completely different person. It's not a pretty sight."

She went on to say that she gave up on her original dream of becoming a professional ballerina to escape an environment that rewarded her for being slim. … So she moved on to beauty pageants. A logical choice.
