Back in March, Patrick Swayze, that perfect marriage of a dancer's body and a ninja's fists, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and told he had just five weeks to live. But now, approximately three months later, the Road House star is still alive, beating the odds like he did so many commies in the propagandistic classic Red Dawn. Doctors have even cleared him to begin work on a new A&E television series, The Beast. Huzzah!
After the jump, you want it so bad it's like acid in your mouth.

'HE'S NOT COMING BACK' "Cancer-stricken Patrick Swayze may still end up in the forthcoming 'Point Break' sequel, if producers get their way. An insider for 'Point Break: Indo' tells Life + Style magazine … "The producers are trying to figure out a way - any way - to get Patrick in the movie. One day, two days, a week of shooting - whatever they can get Patrick for, they'll make it work. He was so pivotal to the first movie.'"

Remember when Patrick Swayze was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and given just five weeks to live? Well, either his situation has drastically improved or his television cop drama, The Beast, is going to prove to be misnamed and very, very short lived.
A&E Television Networks will spend $650 million on new programming across TV and new media in 2008, up $50 million from a year ago and up 30% compared with 2006.
…
A&E … said it will launch a second scripted series in early 2009; the top contenders are "The Beast," starring Patrick Swayze, and "Danny Fricke," starring Connie Nielsen. The new series will join the upcoming "The Cleaner," which will debut in the summer. "Cleaner" star Benjamin Bratt was at the upfront, where A&E screened the first two acts of the pilot.
Guess that miracle cure worked!

Miracles do happen, especially for the rich and famous!
Dancer, actor and terminal cancer patient Patrick Swayze has been tapped by a team of British surgeons to undergo a possibly life-saving procedure. Although Swayze is currently smoking away his final days here in the States, the doctors of the Royal Free Hospital in London think he's a great candidate for a radical new medical technique that involves reworking a patient's veins. Performed for the first time in December, the surgery is expected to save hundreds of lives per year.
Why Swayze wasn't offered this treatment by his American doctors we don't know. We thought medical professionals toiling under socialized regimes like that of the UK were working with rusty spoons and a textbook.

He's! Going! To! Die! You muckraking knobs! Stay out of his last moments on earth and let him puff in peace.
CONFIRMED "Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and might only have weeks to live, a rep for the star said today. The 55-year-old star's publicist confirmed to Page Six that he’s suffering from pancreatic cancer, which could tragically bring down the curtain on his remarkably diverse career. Patrick was diagnosed with the cancer more than a month ago. The average life expectancy is six to nine months, with only 4 percent of patients living more than five years."

Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze has five weeks to live, according to a shocking new report…
The actor, 55, was reportedly diagnosed in late January with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs.
For the past month, the actor and dancer has been traveling to Stanford University’s prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer optimistic that the treatments will be successful…
Bear in mind that this news comes from the National Enquirer, which has been wrong many times before.

We'll miss you, Young Swayze. Tell this new guy we hope he can dance.
