It's Hard Being Pretty, Famous

Ann Shoket is not on the good side of Gossip Girl Blake Lively. The blonde starlet — tragically seen in the sequel to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants — pops up on Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan this month, but her cover role on Shoket’s Seventeen has her pissed. Even her rep says she’s not happy about it!

Except, well, this isn’t the worst cover on which we’ve ever seen Lively. In fact, we have three candidates that are at least equally terrible.

Is Xtina is a little bit Dirrty? According to a reviewer from Arena Magazine, maybe so. This story of Christina Aguilera going a little heavy on the perfume for a recent event, forgive my pun, stinks of a cover-up:

Christina Aguilera’s nose doesn’t work. If it did it would surely have recognised the importance of calling it a day after just the nine squirts of Chanel No 5, or whatever particular brand of stink it is that she uses, rather than pouring the entire bottle over herself.

At the media launch of Aguilera’s new double album, Back To Basics, you could smell Christina before you saw her, which was lucky as there wasn’t a lot to see. She’s tiny. Big heels, white calf-length jeans, tank top, white vest, Fifties blonde ‘do’, lots of lipstick: hot. But my God she stunk like a 12-year-old girl’s bedroom on school-disco night. Why do women do that? It was a perfectly pleasant smell, you understand, but unnecessarily pungent – you could practically see the fog of eau de parfum that surrounded her, like mosquitoes at twilight, through the spotlights on stage.

Sounds like she could have been forced to take a "ho bath." For those of you unfamiliar with the activity it's a last minute stench cloak that consists of switfly washing armpits/crotch, or, if not near a faucet and soap, just using perfume in those special spots. At least it sounds like she successfully masked whatever it was she was hiding.
