It's official: Tomorrow, Sarah Palin is going to brave New York's queers and Jews and malicious blacks and pregnant teenagers (who would be fine if they weren't Dominican) in order to appear on television's most inconsistent mainstay, Saturday Night Live.
Now the questions is, how will the SNL writers and cast find humor in such a stoic, reasonable and bright woman like Palin? We've decided to help them out and create a gallery of the funniest REAL Sarah Palin images we could find. True, some are less "funny ha ha" and more "funny oh good god look at all that fucking blood" or "funny oh Jesus Christ that's a goddamn war criminal," but black comedy is a dying art form we'd like to see stick around. Enjoy, and feel free to include in the comments any links to pics we forgot.

YEP, IT'S REALLY HAPPENING "Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin plans to appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend, multiple sources told CNN."

Marky Mark had his panties all in a funky bunch last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, still pissed about that Saturday Night Live sketch where Andy Samberg impersonated him talking to animals.
After Kimmel plays some of the video, Wahlberg, with absolutely no trace of humor whatsoever says, "When I see that kid, I'm going to crack that big f–king nose of his."
You'd think growing up on the tough streets of Boston with a third nipple would have given Mark a little bit of training with chilling the eff out.
As if she's not busy enough — starring in Saturday Night Live every week, working on a new television sitcom and being pregnant — the magical Amy Poehler is starting a Web series titled Smart Girls at the Party. The show is basically what we all needed as preteens: It "aims to help girls find confidence in their own aspirations and talents, and to prove that you don't have to be famous to be interesting." We truly can't find one bad thing to say about Amy. That is one lucky baby in her womb.

Justin Timberlake is pulling out all the stops while campaigning for Barack Obama, even remixing his No. 1 hit, "Dick in a Box." Yeah, we know the song was just an SNL sketch, but it is way better than anything else Justin put out post-'NSync.
Sure, his off-the-cuff rendition of "Vote in a Box" is slightly humorous, but he still just oozes cockiness and makes us want to punch him in the face. Sorry, J.

We've said this many times before, but it bears repeating: Tina Fey's Sarah Palin impression is the only good thing to come out of the Alaskan governor's run for the vice presidency. Unfortunately for the United States of America, if that crazy lady wins in November and takes office, Fey refuses to stick around:
Election time is always good for [SNL] and this is a bonkers election. And [Palin] is a media star. … We're gonna take it week by week. If she wins, I'm done. I can't do that for four years. And by 'I'm done,' I mean I'm leaving Earth.
Can you take us with you, Tina? Forget moving to Canada — we're heading to Mars with Fey.

Mark Wahlberg, the man behind both "Good Vibrations" and Entourage, isn't exactly known for his warm and friendly demeanor. So it should come as no surprise that Marky Mark had some harsh words for Saturday Night Live after the show featured a clip of him (played by Andy Samberg) talking to random animals. The sketch was bizarre and slightly humorous (still, it's no "Fancy Pants"), but Wahlberg was not amused.
Someone showed it to me on YouTube. It wasn't like Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin, that's for sure. And Saturday Night Live hasn't been funny for a long time. They've asked me to do the show a ton of times. I used to watch it when Eddie Murphy was there and Joe Piscopo and Bill Murray. I don't even know who's on the show now.
Oh, Marky Mark. You should probably be grateful to SNL for this whole thing — it's the most attention you've had in years. Click through for the clip and judge for yourself. CONTINUED »

SNL's Weekend Update moved to a new spot in lieu of the upcoming elections, and last night marked the first time the precursor to The Daily Show featured a mid-week special, hosted by Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler.
Was it funny? Meh. Was Bill Murray there? Ye-op:

Sarah Palin will likely make a surprise (not anymore!) guest-appearance on SNL this weekend to good-humorously combat Tina Fey's dead-on impression.

Bless Tina Fey's heart. The only person who provides a positive in the whole Sarah Palin fiasco is the former SNL funny lady, who has graced the television show week after week to expose the vice presidential candidate's ignorance. This week was, of course, a spoof of Thursday's night's VP debates, and Fey nailed it, down to the constant usage of the word "maverick" and blatant disregard of the moderator's questions. And good news for the Palin crazies: The skit also ripped into Joe Biden.
Click through for the clip, along with the most bizarre skit of the night. (Kristen Wiig is a genius.) CONTINUED »
The mere thought that Alaskan idiot Sarah Palin could very well be running our country in the near future is no longer funny — but Tina Fey's impression of the VP nominee is. The former SNL-er's shtick is so dead-on that we stopped laughing after a while because it's not even that exaggerated: This lady truly is absurd. Tina, you are the only one who can help us through this.
BRUTAL, BITTER STRUGGLE OF AN ELECTION YIELDS GREAT COMEDY "The presidential campaign has been very, very good to 'Saturday Night Live.' 'SNL' has experienced a hefty bump in the Nielsen polls this election season, boasting a 50% gain over last season’s first two episodes. … Comedy Central’s 'The Daily Show' is coming off its most-watched week in history, averaging 1.9 million viewers last week — up 28% from last year. Of course, last year, the world hadn’t yet heard of Sarah Palin, and both Barack Obama and John McCain were considered longshots for their respective party nominations. A year later, the U.S. is in the midst of a presidential campaign that many have described as unusual and unexpected — in other words, perfect fodder for 'SNL' and 'The Daily Show,' not to mention Comedy Central’s 'The Colbert Report' and HBO’s 'Real Time With Bill Maher.'"

Drew Barrymore has gone where every Upper East Side tween would empty out their trust funds to go: The actress reportedly made out with both Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford in a matter of days.
Although sources shot down rumors that Drew and Chace were making out at a Kings of Leon concert, there is photographic evidence of the other Gossip boy shoving his tongue down Barrymore's throat. The two also displayed their affections at an SNL after-party this past weekend. Ah, romance.

FEY HOPES END IS NEAR FOR PALIN IMPRESSION "Tina Fey is considering reprising her impression of Sarah Palin, she said backstage at the Emmys. 'We’re going to take it week by week, but probably.' And what if the candidate winds up someday being President Palin? 'I want to be done playing this lady Nov. 5, so if anyone can help me be done, that’ll be good.'"
FEY'S PALIN MOCKERY SCORES BIG "… Tina Fey's 'Saturday Night Live' spoof of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday … gave NBC.com its most-watched viral video ever. The video not only topped past favorites like 'Dick in a Box' and 'Lazy Sunday,' but managed to outdo copies uploaded to YouTube. … Fey's mimicry of Palin has been a barnburner for NBC.com, garnering 5.7 million views as of Wednesday, according to internal NBC data. That is far and away the most popular video on the site, easily exceeding second-place finisher 'Box,' which collected just over 1 million views on NBC.com."

So last night I was invited to the premiere of Hounddog, the film that caused a lot of controversy a while back because it features a Dakota Fanning rape scene. After watching the movie, I can safely say that the fuss was overblown, but that's probably obvious at this point.
On to the good stuff: The red carpet! Where my spot along the velvet ropes was labeled "Whittle Little, Jossip.com." Awesome. CONTINUED »
IT'S CONFIRMED: 'SNL' IS GOING TO SUCK "Amy Poehler is spreading her small screen wings and flying away. She says she will take a break from Saturday Night Live after the November election to give birth to her first child. 'It's gonna be really hard — Boyz II Men hard — to say goodbye to yesterday,' Amy says in the new issue of Men's Vogue. 'SNL was dangerous, late-night, last-minute and star-studded, but like any good drug, you need to know when to put it down.'"
In response to Tina Fey's genius Sarah Palin impression on this weekend's Saturday Night Live (at right), McCain spokeswoman Carly Fiorina called Fey's portrayal "sexist" and "disrespectful." You know what? That's totally fair, because SNL never makes fun of any other political candidate. Oh wait…
Fiorina went on to say that "just because Sarah Palin has different views than Hillary Clinton does not mean that she lacks substance." Fair enough — so why haven't we seen it? The election is in six weeks, Carly. Time's a wastin'. Instead of calling a female comedian "sexist" when she very obviously is not, let's chat about that "substance."
