SNL JUST GOT EVEN WORSE "'Saturday Night Live' star Amy Poehler may be ready for primetime after all. The actress is said to be in talks to star in the new NBC spin-off of 'The Office,' the trades report. Details about the show have been kept tightly under wraps and the only actor cast in the project so far is comedian Aziz Ansari. There has been speculation, however, that the show might be built around a name actor, similar to how the original 'Office' is anchored by Steve Carell. Still, the series, despite initially being called an 'Office' spin-off, isn’t expected to be one after all, Variety notes."

ALREADY? OMFG! "The makers of 'Gossip Girl' are planning a spinoff series set at a girls boarding school. Producers are hoping to expand the popular CW show by either giving co-star Taylor Momsen her own series or by introducing a new character in the fall who is later spun off. Regardless of which actor is used, the story would likely draw on the arc of Momsen's character Jenny Humphrey in the 'Gossip Girl' book series for inspiration."

End Of Days

Well, let's discuss the good news first: As of this very moment, there are no plans for a Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt reality show.

The bad news: There will be a Hills spin-off — focusing on Lauren Conrad's friend and co-worker Whitney Port, who has publicly said she would never move in with Lauren because she can't handle the cameras being around at all times.

MTV is prepping a show in which Whitney Port, 23, becomes bicoastal while working for fashion PR firm People’s Revolution — and befriends a group of NYC gals (including socialite Olivia Palermo).

Says the insider: 'There will be more blondes in the city than you ever expected!'

The only person less deserving of a Hills spin-off is dead-eyed Audrina Patridge. Seriously, we love Whitney and all, but there's no way she can carry an entire reality show on her own. Why not give Lo her own series? Now that we would watch. (OK, fine. We're going to watch Whit's show, too.)

THE BEET FARM? "Six weeks before the traditional broadcast upfront, NBC unveiled its scheduling plans through summer 2009 … 'The Office' was front and center at the event … Indeed, the network's biggest announcement was the series pickup of a long-rumored spinoff that Silverman produced before taking the reins of NBC. Silverman said the entire 'Office' creative team is behind the spinoff but did not provide any details, other than saying, 'you may see some of the actors on that show on the other show.' The 'Office' spinoff will premiere after the Super Bowl on Feb. 1."
