Sad

We knew it was bound to happen: American Idol judge Paula Abdul inspired a woman, Paula Goodspeed, to sit outside Abdul's LA home in a parked car. Perfectly normal, no? Anyway, Goodspeed reportedly committed suicide last night in said vehicle.

And because TMZ thrives under situations that are part devastating, part exploitative, the Web site has already dug up everything about this woman, except her social security number. But don't worry, that's on its way.

Here's what the TMZ stalkers have come up with so far:

A judge says a woman accused of stalking John Cusack is competent to stand trial, but cannot represent herself.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Susan M. Speer made her ruling Wednesday afternoon based on a psychiatrist's evaluation of Emily Leatherman.

Of course she's competent—if we didn't have a job, we'd stalk John Cusack, too. His later work has been consistently regrettable, but the man was Lane Meyer!

FIVE YEARS CAN'T SQUELCH TRUE LOVE! "A Manhattan judge has sentenced a former mental patient to three years of probation for stalking and harassing actress Uma Thurman. Jack Jordan of Gaithersburg, Md., will serve the probation in his home state, with the condition that he receive outpatient psychiatric treatment. … State Supreme Court Justice Gregory Carro also imposed a five-year order of protection. If Jordan violates any of the court's terms, the judge says he'll be jailed."

HOW ROMANTIC "Billy Bob Thornton is under fire for allegedly being a huge cyber-pest — the kind that shoots off annoying e-mails and plants bugs in people's homes. According to an LAPD report filed by Elysabeth Cherniak — the sister of Billy Bob's fourth wife — Thornton has been harassing her for nearly two years. She originally thought he was trying to 'court her,' but then 'the e-mails became more insulting.' She also believes 'Mr. Thornton has listening devices in her home.'"

JOHN CUSACK IS CONSIDERED STALK-WORTHY "A woman who showed up Sunday outside John Cusack's Malibu home — despite a restraining order barring her from approaching the actor — was arrested on suspicion of stalking. … Deputies were called to the 24000 block of Malibu Road about 7 p.m. Sunday after a cab driver reported that a passenger was refusing to pay a fare for a ride to that area. As deputies approached the scene, they were flagged down by Cusack, who told them that he recognized the woman in the cab and that she had been stalking him."

Love Stories

Tyra Banks has a stalker and he sounds like a wonderful man. Brady Green, a reformed ex-con, has been courting the model-cum-talk show host since early January, sending her flowers and love notes, and visiting her as often as possible. In the past two months the sensitive Green has traveled from Dublin, Georgia to see Banks in both New York and Los Angeles.

Besides being wealthy enough to traverse the country and idle in front of Banks' places of business, the 6'2" Green is also handsome, with a recent New York Post article describing him as "clean and dressed in neat, casual clothing" and "huge, strong with a lot of muscles." And yet the coy Banks continues to reject his advances! When Green last visited the Manhattan studio where The Tyra Banks Show is taped, the former cover girl had him removed from the premises.

But Green is nothing if not tenacious. Within minutes of being shuffled out of Banks' studio, the 37-year-old was sipping coffee in a McDonald's across the street and thumbing through one of his favorite magazine articles about the Top Model host, patiently awaiting the perfect time to again profess his love. Their kids are going to love this story!
