America, America, This Is You

There's the political cesspool that is Washington, D.C., and then 100 miles away is the real melting pot of intelligent minds in The Middle of Nowhere, Virginia. Lovely reader Ruby Jackson snapped these shots in the area and passed them along to us as a morning boost. Who are these people and why are they allowed to breed?

Says Ruby:

I was recently in semi-rural Virginia, about 100 miles outside DC near Luray, and saw this display in front of a farm. Not sure what the significance of the rocks are, but it was disturbing, as well as typical sentiment for that area. Enjoy!

SPEEDY RECOVERY "Sen. Ted Kennedy, who has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, was released from the hospital on Wednesday, a day earlier than expected. Kennedy, 76 — who was admitted Saturday after suffering a seizure — 'has recovered remarkably quickly' from a brain biopsy Monday, his doctors said in a statement."

Doctor's said today that a malignant brain tumor caused Massachusetts senior Senator Ted Kennedy's seizure over the weekend. Though he is said to be "in good spirits," most patients with the type of cancer Kennedy has live between one and five years after their diagnosis.
