VIN DIESEL APPARENTLY REEVALUATING CAREER "Columbia Pictures hasn’t tired of 'XXX' … The studio is in discussions with producer Joe Roth for a new version of 'XXX,' one that would bring back Vin Diesel as star and Rob Cohen as director. The duo teamed on the 2002 original, which starred Diesel as Xander Cage, an extreme sports enthusiast who gets drafted by the government for a dangerous mission. Diesel has agreed to return and so has Cohen, but talent deals won’t be worked out until the studio pact is made. … Diesel had bowed out of an encore, but it is also believed that his salary quote had gotten too expensive for a modestly successful picture. Diesel also bowed out of a starring role in the first sequel to 'The Fast and the Furious' — '2 Fast 2 Furious' — opting for a cameo in that pic. He skipped the third pic, 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,' but will reteam with original co-star Paul Walker in the franchise’s fourth go-round, 'Fast & Furious' …"

Forthcoming 'Dancing with the Stars' Contestants

Gravely voiced action hero Vin Diesel's new movie, Babylon AD, currently has a zero percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with one reviewer (of the five who wasted the time to see it) calling the film "the sort of thing that would have starred Rutger Hauer in his direct-to-video heyday." We think this is the official end of a once promising career that took a wrong turn somewhere right after Boiler Room.

We Say No

timberlakehunky

In its coverage of last night's Teen Choice Awards, E! Online calls Justin Timberlake "hunky." Question: Is that accurate? We thought "hunky" was reserved for guys like Vin Diesel and Harrison Ford. Isn't Justin Timberlake more like a cute hall monitor?

Because we'd like to get our hands on some of the bloody lucre that digital hooker-kicking has amassed, we've taken the liberty of casting the possible Liberty City movie. Thank us – with a lucrative back-end deal – when it's a hit.

Vin Diesel's early modeling days were just what he needed to do to pay the bills. Don't you understand? To give his heart and soul to the art of acting, at times he needed to allow his body to be used. Please don't laugh–can't you see how hard this was for him?
