America's Golden Couple has been accused of being lots of things, but genuine is not one of them. We've sat through the dumbest scenes ever — the couple moving into an apartment when in actually they were shacking up with Spencer's parents, the two "breaking up" and Spencer "surprising" Heidi in Colorado to win her back, the pair's reconciliation in Las Vegas when Heidi chose her boyfriend over her job — but the most cringe-worthy moment came when Spencer popped the question to Heidi at the beginning of season three. For starters, the ring was purchased at a store called Ice. Then the proposal wasn't even 100 percent, because he simply gave her the ring and told her he loved her and blabbered on about how "real" they are. Uh, sure. And, of course, the engagement turned out to be short-lived and ended with a totally genuine Us Weekly cover story.
