I had admittedly been counting down the days until The Office premiered its fifth season, and last night's hour-long episode was certainly worth the wait. I don't want to give too much away for those who have yet to see the show, so I've listed my favorite moments after the jump — and you can add your own.
• Dwight's new fruit and vegetable vending machine, which eventually became full of flies and had to be sprayed down on a regular basis.
• Pam: "What up, 212?" (complete with hand gestures)
• Any scene involving Kelly and her diets, especially the tape worm incident with Creed.
• Michael's breathless race to say goodbye to Pam and recite his poem for her: "It's really long … The last word is 'seagulls.' I took a lot from other poems."
• Ryan "Fire-duh guy" Howard's return, which featured him blaming 9/11 for his bad behavior.
• THE PROPOSAL! Squeee! Everything about it was perfection, mainly because I had no idea it was coming. The rain, the gas station, the adorable looks on their faces, Jim declaring he couldn't wait. It brought tears to my eyes. Probably because I have no life.

Andrew getting 4 non-redundable wedding destinations. Dwight kicking Stanley's cake over.
I only got to watch the beginning because I had to go somewhere but I like when Pam is in the class and the teacher says something and everyone laughs and then she says the class name and she looks at the camera and is like I'm in the wrong class. Just typical Pam lol
i loved it! i loved when angela explained how she sleeps at night.
oh and andy, "i'm hoping to have washboard abs the first time angela sees me naked"
ANGELA AND DWIGHT IN THE WAREHOUSE!!!
My BF Dwight kicking Stanley's cake, the picture Pam made of Dwight on the computer, MScott tearing up the concert tickets, and of course the proposal. THAT.WAS.AWESOME.
Anyone notice what was wrong with Meredith's face during the weigh in's on the scale? She looked burned or chemical peeled and no one brought it up. Which was hilarious
He's not stupid! He's mentally challenged!
How about the part where Phyllis speculates on what everyone will say they like about her? I laughed for about 10 minutes when she says shyly, "Probably my jugs." She has the best lines on that show sometimes.
Kelly in the kitchen eating and Michael asking "is that healthy?" and the pure joy on her face when she said no :-).
The utter inconsistency of goatees on Michael and Ryan.
The role reversal for Ryan throughout the show was genius. Great new additions to the cast and storyline as well. I love this show.
JJ- yes! what was up with her face?? I noticed that too and was surprised it was never mentioned.
Kelly kissing Darrel while watching Ryan watching her.
I loved Andy singing to Angela: "Under my Angerella…ella…ella…" That was amazing!
Also, did you catch the winning Tide to Go commercial? I thought that was hilarious! The winning commercial was by John Michael Sy (aka Emcee Miko) and I thought he did a great job with his rapping stain ad! So creative! You can check out the story over at http://www.suntimes.com/busine.....25.article or some more of his raps on his youtube page http://www.youtube.com/emceemiko. I work for Tide and I'm glad that everybody is so responsive with these ads. I think they're great and I'm glad everybody else does! For sure check this guy out — he's amazing!
I hope it's cool I commented on your blog! If you've got any questions, feel free to email me!
Thanks!

when Dwight says "just hold it in your mouth if you can't swallow" and Jim's face while waiting for Micheal's reaction… the cameraman sighing when he gets kicked out of Pam's room….Dwight and Angela's affair right under Andy's nose…Michael revealing he lost his virginity at age 28…and of course the proposal. perfection, and in the pouring rain, no less.
haha mandy jacobs, that's so cute.
we're all pretty much vagrants that wandered in off the street here in commentville.
mandy jacobs wins the adorable award today on the real. I even "aaaawwwww"d.
ditto evil twin
So…Are Michael and Holly the new 'Jim and Pam'? Michael was doing it right…until he ripped up the tix. That was typical Michael Scott tho.
I also liked Angela's "THAT'S how I sleep at night" comment :D
And of course the proposal was awesome. My boyfriend and I did not see that coming at all. And the look on Jim's face when he made it back to the office…Wet Tuna :D
I thought it was weird that no one mentioned Meredith's face.
Stanley was hilarious!!!
What does this mean??
What up 212?
Is that a reference to the NYC area code or what??
Yeah… I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed Meredith's face.. what's up with that??
