Tim Gunn deals with a lot of divas as the mentor on Project Runway, but in a recent interview he revealed that he has been known to throw a diva tantrum from time to time.
His worst moment happened on the set of his show, Tim Gunn's Guide to Style. While filming a scene where he gives the subjects a copy of his book, Tim Gunn: A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style, he has a little run-in with a new director that results in a mild temper tantrum. And yet we still believe this man can do no wrong.
So we have a new director, and it’s Episode 6. This new director calls out from the production room, ‘Um, could we do that again and see a little less of the book?’ So I said, ‘Yeah.’ We did it again. He says, ‘No, I’m still seeing too much of the book.’ I said, ‘What’s your issue with the book?’ And he said, ‘It just feels like a little too much self-promotion.’
I paused, and then I said, ‘Self-promotion? This show is based on this book.’ He said, ‘Well, I just want to see a little less of it.’ So we do it again, and he said, ‘No, I’m still seeing too much of the book.’ So I said, ‘I can take care of that.’
I take the book, I walk through the set that is my office, I walk into the dressing room, where there is a window, and I throw the book out the window. I come back to my place on the set, and I say, ‘You don’t have to worry about seeing the book again.’
The crew and everyone is slackjawed. So then I say, because I’m on a roll at this point, ‘Oh my gosh, I see more of those dreadful books on the bookshelf!’ So I go over, I gather all the books up, I walk through the set, through the dressing room and throw all of them out the window. Then I return to my place on the set. So that’s my one diva moment [laughs].

In all honesty, I would have thrown the director out before the book. If that is the worst thing that he does, then that is fine by me. I hate to see what Janice Dickinson would have done.
Oh Tim! I love that. Hilarious!

These spamers english is quite amusing.
gayledi, your spelling and grammar is also quite amusing. The word spammers is spelled with one M, not two, when in the possessive form you used there should be an apostrophe between the r and the final S in spammers, and the word English should be capitalized. Three mistakes in 6 words - congratulations.
Oh Tim, you can do no wrong!
;)
That's it?
He didn't hit the bastard with the books? Bounce his Prada cell phone off his head in a homage to Naomi Campbell?
He is a man of style and class..even in a fit of diva rage.
Tim Gun rules.
Liz, if in fact you had a true understanding of grammar, then you would understand that "spammers" is plural. The proper possessive form of a plural is "-s'." Congratulations on sounding like a self-important a-hole.
tim is the best. i love tim.
im a fairy princess and tim gunn is my king!
Liz - I assume that little speech is YOUR diva moment - get over yourself.
