Seacrest Ain't Right
![]()
Last night's American Idol elimination consisted of about 50 minutes of leftover footage from Wednesday's Idol Gives Back and 10 minutes of Ryan Seacrest trying to pull a fast one on us. And he succeeded.
(Don't click through if you don't want to know the result.)
Michael Johns went home, despite the fact that, according to TiVo, Syesha Mercado was expected to go. The elimination was much more jarring than normal thanks to Ryan and his attempts to trick us multiple times. The worst of his efforts resulted in giving Michael false hope that he would stay on the show, only to rip the rug out from under him within a few seconds. You win that round, Seacrest.
Also of note: Jason Castro is stingy with his standing ovations.

Good for Jason Castro. Standing ovations are often too easily given… and most people cave in to the peer pressure (me included, sometimes). I always try to remain seated if I wouldn't have ovated (yes, ovated) on my own, but my wife gets pissed and hisses at me to "Stand up!"
Anyways, good for Jason Castro. He's the big winner in my book!
american idol is for homo's … half the people die down and fail anyway…
