viggo

Patriotism is important, but so is respecting the underdog; so showing your support for your country while simultaneously showing your support for its oppressed mutantkind proves that you're a wise man who knows even the most misguided entities still have good within them.

not sure but thinking that the facial hair may be for shooting to movie 'Good'. Can't offer an explanation for the clothes. I still love Vig though.

ilnazhad do you have any clue what patriotism is? How is loving your COUNTRY and wanting to defend it (in some case from the government) foolish?

Patriotism is foolish? Do you mean "xenophobia" is foolish? What's wrong with loving the country in which you live and which has provided you opportunities?

Nationalism and patriotism, as April intimated, are two related but essentially mutually exclusive concepts.

That pin he is wearing is a symbol of the Lakota tribe, not the mutant tribe. Get a clue.

    CORD-
    Nationalism:
"2. devotion and loyalty to one's own nation; patriotism. "
See, same thing. The two words are used interchangeably- and that it no error.
I was born in Vancouver and have lived most of my life. And I love it more than anywhere else. I believe in volunteering in one's community and all that. But patriotism leads to the belief that your country is above all others. Nationalists defend their country, even when their country is hurting other nations or is in the wrong. It's blinding.
