Nice Diss, 'Moud!

mahmoudcopy

This, today, from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: "In Iran, we don’t have homosexuals like in your country. We don’t have that in our country. In Iran, We do not have this phenomenon. I do not know who has told you that we have it." Replace every reference to Iran with "this church" and it's spoken like a true American man of God. Let hate unite us!

Let's see…the penalty there for sodomy is execution. Coming out of the closet means certain death. That gives the term "dying for sex" a whole new meaning.

You used this post to compare that guy to an "American man of God"?

I know you didn't say Christian… But it would be nice if you allowed for a distinction among "men of God." The belief systems vary widely and I for one would not call a hateful bigot a man of God. But even the most bigoted Christians I know don't have any designs on terrorizing people with ridiculous hints about nuclear weapons.

And yes, I'm sure "the church" would implement the same punishment…if they could get away with it.

Sorry Cord, I've never heard hate like that in my church.
Generalizing all American men of God into a hateful, bigoted group is pretty offensive and a little bigoted yourself.

I love how he put homosexuality as a "phenomenon", like it is some sort of freak genetic mutation or pandemic disease. Just wow.

If there were no homosexuals in Iran, why would they need to have a law against sodomy? Presumably no one would do it, so it would be like having a law against flying purple monkey dishwashers.

Oh, that makes sense, sar! It's like bringing in flora and fauna from another country… letting homosexuality loose outside of its natural habitat could prove disastrous for the Iranian ecosystem. Better to contain it with preventative laws.

Wanting nuclear arms isn't a crime. Why shouldn't they want them when you guys probably have a few in storage with their name on them.

Did you even read the post, jpeep? I don't believe nuclear arms were mentioned. Unless it is some "slang" term I have yet to come across, in my vast experience. Are you speaking metaphorically about something? Because I am completely lost on this analogy.

Ahmadinejad's, I mean. I don't suppose Cord has any nuclear weapons either, and if he does I haven't seen any maybe-i-do-maybe-i-don't elusive speeches about it.

No…Cord is usually pretty straight forward about his position…or in this case…possession of nuclear arms. He seems too mellow for that sort of thing.
Anyways, even with my ability to change subjects and train of thought randomly…that was pretty incomprehensible. jpeep…I mean.
