Kelly Rutherford confirmed that there is indeed a Gossip Girl character who will be coming out of the closet in the near future — and accidentally lets it slip who it is.

Of course, it's Eric van der Woodson, Serena's troubled younger brother.

At a recent red carpet event in New York, Kelly was asked about any big surprises coming up in the rest of the season. Her answer: "I don't know if I can share it with you — my son — yeah, there's a character on the show that we'll reveal is gay." She later went on to confirm that it is indeed Eric, and approximately zero people are surprised.
