That’s pretty much how it went for me.

That’s a very healthy looking six months pregnant. Good for her. :) Gotta tell you, though, I don’t miss being pregnant! I didn’t have very many problems, really, but I developed carpal tunnel and it SUCKED. I’m now 11 weeks postpartum and sooo happy to be able to type and write and stir a fucking pot without pain.

That’s how my pregnancy with my daughter went for me too. I was still wearing regular clothes until my 6th month, and then bam - I popped out seemingly overnight. Unfortunately, popping out so quickly like that comes with an asston of stretch marks. Lucky for Nicole she’s in tight her dermatologist.

Same here. I’m tall as well, and normally “underweight” according to charts. But until I was six months pregnant each time, you couldn’t tell at all. Then it was like I went home from work on Friday with a relatively flat stomach and came back on Monday looking like I’d swallowed a large watermelon.

I miss being pregnant.

What a difference a hair iron makes! Nic looks sooo much better with her curls free flowing than with that flat hair. Guess she’s balancing the belly with the buoyancy of her locks.

My friend Billy was like that when she was pregnant. God, she was the prettiest pregnant girl I’ve ever seen. I swear over a long weeked, her belly just exploded! She was so petite except for that belly, it was adorable.

How did being pregnant give you carpal tunnel? That’s a repetitive stress injury involving scar tissue pressing on a nerve. Though as they said, the human body is amazing in the weird things it does…

Water retention. The nerve was being pressed by the swelling. It’s pretty common, apparently. Something not so easy to figure out is how I got mastitis when I was 6 months along. Otherwise I had an easy time.

And yes, carpal tunnel is extremely common during pregnancy from water retention putting pressure on the nerve.

When I was 6 months pregnant I hadn’t seen a friend for about a year, and she was like you look great! You lost a lot of weight(I’d had morning sickness for 5 months and had lost about 15lbs). I said, uh, thanks, but I’m 6 months pregnant, lol. I’m tall though, and no one could tell until about 7 months, and even throughout my pregnancy I only gained in my stomach. Then at 8 months my stomach exploded. My kid ended up being 11 lbs. It was nuts.

I think Nicole has hypermesis as well, which can explain why she’d be so small for such a long time.

I have never been pregnant, but based on my uncanny ability to gain 10 lbs. every damn winter, I’m pretty sure I’ll be exploding right around month 4 when it finally does happen. Anatomy’s a funny thing.
