I suggest "Move On Up" by Curtis Mayfield.

What would they play if he lost? I seriously don't know enough about music to think of any funny ideas. "Running On Empty" by Jackson Browne? "Pressure Drop" by Toots And The Maytals? A shitload of Elliott Smith?

There truly isn't an occasion where Bananarama doesn't work. Good call.

I don't understand why politicians think Born in the USA is a great celebration song. Don't get me wrong it's an amazing song, but it's about how f'd up the country is. In truth it's actually a very fitting song for what is going on around us right now with the economy in the toilet and unemployment on the rise.

Come back home to the refinery
Hiring man says "Son if it was up to me"
I go down to see the V.A. man
He said "Son don't you understand"

I'm still a little mad at Madonna's version of American Pie. I like that old school shiz.

madonna's version did suck. but the original song sucks in my opinion too. it's about 7 minutes too long.
