I actually thought about Kanye the other day while watching a special on the aftermath of Katrina. Yep, Kanye is a spectacular sack of douche, but "George Bush doesn't care about black people" was the most succinct (if outrageous) thing anyone could have said at the time, and looking at the state of New Orleans today, right on the money.
