Famewhore Chic

Say what you will about Lauren Conrad's clothing line — at least it looks quality. And it's obvious she created every design herself and put her heart and soul into the collection.

Keep that in mind as you view Heidi Montag's new line, not-so-creatively titled "Heidiwood," that she most certainly did not have a hand in creating. Also? The line looks like something on the sale racks at Forever 21.

Heidi, who's all class, felt the need to bring up LC, saying, "Lauren's line is not necessarily something I would wear. She's trying a high-fashion thing, but it's a little overpriced. Mine is fun and flirty for the everyday woman." If by "everyday woman" she means "slutty 14-year-old," then she has a point.

She goes on to say that Lauren isn't qualified to have her own line: "When we were in school, I was the designer, and she was in, like, product development."

Ah, yes. You mean that one day you attended fashion school before dropping out? And let's not forget what you told your college adviser about your goals:

Well, I want to do PR. That's, like, my ultimate goal. I wanna be, like, the fun party PR girl in LA type of thing, so, um, that's kinda what I want to do. Kinda more like the party scene.

Heidi sure has a lot of passions in her life: PR, music, fashion and Spencer. How does she do it all?

I agree, she never even attended school. And they remind me of the cheap clothes you buy at Forever 21 or Rave that fall apart after you wash them once.

She was probably HIGHER when she "designed" the line.

Let's call this clothing line what it really is - an excuse for Heidi to show off a new nose (or crazy airbrshing) and wear too-big shoes. Somebody still feels ugly.

The preceeding was predicated on the assumption that the model is Heidi and not a Heidi look-alike. Only at participating stores. Void where prohibited.

The green dress intrigues me, but because I can only see a very small part of it, I'm not willing to go any further than intriguing.

But it's all very cheap-o looking, not "fashion."

Angy: She went to school for a short time, but dropped out to be a PR person (fame wh*re). I think it's great that she says she studied "fashion". I think she only completed one year of college.

The worst part about all this is that I know it….why am I so intrigued by these shows??

She said that Lauren's clothes were too expensive, yet she has no problem wearing Jimmy Choo's. One pair of Jimmy's could buy most people a whole new wardrobe.

I also have a problem with all these girls calling themselves "designers". Heidi clearly isn't a designer. I really can't see her sitting down at night making sketches and measurements on a form. It's one thing to put your name on a label or to be the spokesman for a brand of clothes, but it's quite another to say you've actually sat down and "designed" anything. Lets be honest, none of her clothes are new designs. None of this is new or revolutionary. This isn't the first time we've seen this dress (I feel like Micheal Khors just saying that).

Well, both Heidi's and LC's designs look like something u can find at any mall for the fraction of the price. Heidi's is something you can pick up at Forever 21, LC's is a lil more sophisticated…but both designs look like everyday mall clothing! Nothing special about it…

You're criticizing Anchor Blue clothes? These may look cheap and uninspired - but what do you expect from mall clothes? Minus the name and spokesperson, these might actually be a hit w/all the mall rat Forever 21 girls.

Yuck-who wants to wear something she made. At least Lauren has some experiance, and went to fashion school and worked at teen vogue. I think Heidi and spencer are related and trying to become a "power" couple" they are so nasty. Oh yeah I should a homeless person these clothes-and they wouldn't even wear them!!!!

Uh, yea…did you happen to catch her fabulous premier on the Tyra Show today? She walked out on stage holding Spencer's hand, and her big, black hand bag. Tyra commented that she was the first guest to bring a purse onto the set. She proceeded to plug her new line. Spencer managed to make borderline racist remarks about African orphans–and they both whined about the freaking sex tapes every chance they had. It was riveting.
