He's okay looking, but he totally ruined Batman for me.

I believe the first thumbnail picture was captured while Bale was chanting "Me big man, me make many Mollygood posters very happy. Ooga booga!"

i like 5 a lot, but 1 and 4 make me truly happy - i love man who can look like a fool, and still look damn good. (probably becuase I always look like a fool, the looking damn good thing is another story)

I like 'em all.

To me he is Tom Cruise. Minus the crazy. And without the crazy all we have is a good actor doing his job well. Where's the fun, I tell ya!

I must admit I agree with Cord (!) girly, manicured hands on men totally FREAK me out…but I'll let it slide this once

It's possible that the first picture was caught when Bale was saying "Yes, I do love Kitchy, but alas, my true heart and deepest sexual fantasies still reside with Be A. Besides, Kitchy has Goldenballs."

Not to disagree, but he was an awesome Batman! True, he was the most serious one - so if you like the campyness of the first ones (which I do, to a point) then I can see you not liking him.

As for me, I love the Michael-Keaton-school of eyebrow acting, Val's chicklet teeth (I hated Mav, loved Goose, but Ice was a close second), and Clooney, well he looks damn good in a tux. They all have something for me.

What ruined the newest batman for me? Katie Holmes and her half-smile acting. Oh and enormous nipples on the screen at the end of the movie. They must have borrowed JLo's tweaker!

also lisa, i loved the new batman and i LOVED LOVED LOVED michael keaton in batman, esp when he does crazy as bruce wayne and gets shot in the silver platter by joker

Katie Holmes ruins every movie she's in.

I like both Michael Keaton and Christian Bale as Batman. I don't think they're comparable, I think the two series are entirely different. Just like I don't think you can compare Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger's Jokers.

I sincerely disliked Val Kilmer and George Clooney as Batman, though.

I am totally excited for the crazy weirdo Joker that Heath Ledger is doing. Jack was great just different

Also, Bale was also the best half-naked Batman (sorry Val). He could do push-ups for hours…

I wish I knew what the hell I thought about the different incarnations of Batman. I just can't watch it. I don't get it at all. If the man wants to fight crime, why does he have to make it into such a production? Fight crime already! Stop being obtuse and adding tech gadgets to your bat lair or whatever!

You know, sar, I was watching the first Batman with Michael Keaton last night and thought the same thing.

Especially because the mask makes it impossible for him to look up without bending his neck all the way back. How is that helpful? How does that not hinder your abilities to quickly pursue and apprehend a villian?

And because the last line of Bunnie's post keeps making me chant it in my head…

Yeah i'm not sure how I made the leap from Bateman to Batman to Gutenberg, but I swear there was a momentary thought process.

You can't find Short Circuit anywhere anymore. No VHS, no DVD. It's a damn shame. Luckily most of my other faves stay in the $5 bin, so it balances.

For some reason I always confuse Short Circuit with Cocoon…how the eff that happens I don't know. I drank a lot of kool-aid and took naps in the 80s so it's all kind of a blur.

I could see it, Be A. I watched both in youthful amazement. Mostly the Coccoon thing because no growns up were there to tell me, turn that off or you'll have nightmares!

BeA it's the Gute, he was in that one too. He was the best thing about 3 men and a baby. Don't worry, I'm going to start some therapy to help me get over my Guttenberg obsession.
